Stroll down the colourful narrow streets of this quaint, unique fishing village and you will discover an array of independent craft shops and tearooms. Enjoy a fishing trip or directly opposite this property you can go crabbing off the quay. In the summer season, you can take a foot ferry across the water to the village of Instow which offers a beautiful sandy beach and a handful of pubs, and restaurants, a truly beautiful spot. Only 2.5 miles away is the seaside village of Westward Ho!, one of the area's most popular tourists spots. In the summer you have the choice of shops, surf hire, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. It boasts amusement arcades and is most popular for its surfing, with a large expanse of sandy beach and surf school – it’s the perfect place to take a picnic and spend the day building sandcastles or catching a wave. Nearby, you can take a bike ride on the Tarka Trail which has 180 miles of off-road cycling, perfect for admiring the North Devon countryside. More local attractions for families are available such as The Milky Way Adventure Park, North Devon Wake and Aqua Park, and the Big Sheep adventure park.

This well-equipped apartment offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The large, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner enjoys a southerly aspect towards the estuary and rolling countryside. Sit and relax on the comfortable sofas and admire the sunsets or watch a favourite movie on the Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is equipped with everything you need to cook up a lovely breakfast while you are planning your day's adventure. There is an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and a Delonghi coffee machine. The washer/dryer is housed in a separate utility cupboard. There is also a separate WC in the hallway. There are two bedrooms, both with en-suite showers and a WC. One of the bedrooms 2 x zip and link single beds for guests or can be made up into a super-king on request and the other bedroom has a king-size bed.

There are public benches a stone's throw away where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views, or perhaps you’d like to visit one of the many nearby pub gardens. There is plenty of roadside parking (subject to availability) or there is a public car park where you can buy parking permits.

Lovely flat and great location, the views over the estuary and to Instow were beautiful. Great pubs and restaurants in short walking distance and the deli below very handy. Would definitely like to stay there again on our next visit to Appledore.

The flat is spacious and the view over the river is great. The beds are very comfy. The mirror door wardrobes are a very good size. The kitchen cooking area has everything you could need and there is plenty of crockery etc in the numerous cupboards. Over all this is a brilliant holiday flat, with a great view across the estuary thrown in.

Fantastic location right on the quay front and a pleasure to see the boats coming and going. The layout of the flat is ideal for four with plenty of living and bedroom space and storage. A really lovely apartment. Well set up, spotless, comfortable and with wonderful views of the waterfront. Parking is a bit pot luck but you can always use the big car park at the far end. Its a great location in the middle of one of the best stretches of North Devon coastline. Highly recommend.

Very nice and clean apartment in a beautiful and prime position. The view could not have been better. A bonus to find it bigger than we expected and very cosy. In amongst all the pubs and restaurants so no worries about driving. We all had a really pleasant time and all the locals were very friendly. A great place to stay.

Quayside was absolutely perfect. Very spacious, stunning views and an excellent location. The apartment is very well equipped, the bedrooms are of a large and equal size, and the place is decorated beautifully throughout. Will definitely be staying again.
