Keswick has many tourist offerings and plenty of outdoor adventures which are waiting for you close by. In the town, there are lots on offer with its independent cinema, waterside theatre, and totally unique Pencil Museum, along with plenty of places to dine and unwind. You’ll also find yourself less than 1 mile from the shores of Derwentwater where boat trips and water sports are on offer. The Lakeland fells of Catbells (5 miles) and Skiddaw (5 miles) are also close by with their abundance of unforgettable walking and cycling routes all around.

Walking through the front door of this first-floor apartment you will be amazed by the grand high ceilings and original features mixed in with modern styling. The lounge has amazing bay windows that allow the natural light to flood in and offer a panoramic view. Here is the ideal place to kick back after a day out – relax on the sofas with a movie on the Smart TV or read a good book. Head into the kitchen where you will be immediately drawn to the doors leading out to the balcony with seating, which offers amazing views over the town and to the falls beyond; it’s a stunning setting any time of day. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a nice meal if you don’t fancy heading out into the many pubs and restaurants in the town. There is an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and Lavazza coffee machine There are two bedrooms to choose from, both king-size beds and plenty of space for your belongings. Lastly, there is the bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC.

Spend a warm evening sitting outside on the balcony admiring the views with a drink in hand. There is a private parking space for one car.

Wow! What can I say an absolute gem of an apartment. Central in Keswick with own parking available. The views from all the windows were magnificent and having a quiet downtime with a nice cuppa looking at the scenery was fantastic. Nice touch by having some milk and eggs for our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was big, clean, well equipped and very conveniently located in the Center of Keswick. We would certainly stay there again.

As regular visitors to the Lake District for about 40 years, Newlands Retreat is by far the best self-catering property we've ever stayed in. The cleanliness and comfort were second to none. Fabulous situation, so central to Keswick and the lake only a 10 minute walk away. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms and lounge area. Lovely views out of the windows across the town and to Catbells. Bonus of a private parking space is invaluable as spaces are at a premium when the town is busy.

The apartment is possibly the best we have stayed in. Excellently presented, lovely views with a small balcony to enjoy a spot of lunch on. Well appointed apartment. Great location with a allocated parking space very close to the town centre. Comfy beds, great views of the fells from all windows. 2 minor issues were resolved on the same day. Will stay here again on our next visit.

This is a lovely apartment ideally located in central Keswick and comes with a dedicated parking space. It has been fitted out to a very high standard and is very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Newlands Retreat was clean, warm and comfortable and in a great location for our stay in Keswick. It was really nicely decorated throughout with great views. The bed was really comfortable, great after a long day walking, we would definitely stay again.

Newlands Retreat is just perfect. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed, no small thing, as our journey had been traffic jam after traffic jam. The views are amazing from the front room Skiddaw/Causey Pike/Catbells. You dont really need to use your car as walks/shops/cafes/restaurants on your doorstep. Newlands Retreat is a lovely modern and very spacious apartment on the first floor, and only two minutes walk from the main street in Keswick. There are two large double bedrooms with great views in either direction. There's a bathroom and shower combined, just off a central corridor, plus a very spacious lounge with a bay window, and a large kitchRead moreen with a balcony.
