Lovely big, light, airy house. Garden great for dogs. Well equipped. Warm. Some traffic noise if that's an issue for you, didn't detract from our stay. Would go again. Good location for trips out. Post office/local shop/ deli has to be visited! Wonderful cakes and pies. Collingwood Arms across the road well worth a visit. Food was excellent.

Garry cottage is a comfortable cottage in a good location in Cornhill on Tweed with a great pub & restaurant across the road and a fabulous village shop. However the cottage is a little dated and feels slightly neglected in terms of furnishings and upkeep. We were delighted to find the large garden was perfectly safe and secure for our black LabradRead moreor. Country dog walks straight from the house without walking on the road were limited but there are many beautiful walks a short drive away. Hide

We had a lovely holiday here. Perfect location to explore Northumbria and the Scottish Borders. The road was a little noisy but cannot really be helped. The shop across the road has everything we needed and some tasty cakes too! We saw the horses ride past for Civic Week on their way to Flodden -very impressive.

Comfortable property providing a lovey base to explore from. Lovely garden to look at although garden furniture could do with a clean and upgrade.

We found the cottage peaceful, comfortable, clean and charming, the views from the rear window was spectacular. A little quirky in places but all in all I would recommend your holiday home to others. Thank you.

The cottage is beautiful. Great size for our family. The gardens really made it for us. We loved the view from the sun room. Personally there were 2 things that would stop us from returning- the road noise, its something we're not used to, trucks, tractors and speeding cars constantly and secondly, I found the beds too hard, I know this is personalRead more preference. Location wise, it is a fab base for exploring northern England and Scotland, great towns and beaches close by and great little localshop! Hide

Beautifully appointed holiday home, with all home comforts and good quality furniture and fixtures and fittings. Great location for exploring both sides of the border. Tickets for fishing on the River Tweed easily purchased from the shop over the road (who also do amazing cakes!) Only slight issue is the road noise. On arrival we had no hot water. Reported on Sunday morning and was rectified eventually by the management company on the Monday. Generally clean but there were parts that were missed and looked a bit grubby. Could not get TV in kitchen to work and no instruction manuals available (for any of the equipment). The cottage itself was lovely and in an aRead moremazing location. The beds were very comfortable and bed linen lovely. The cottage was well equipped for our needs. Hide
