This was our second stay at this lovely little cottage. It was lovely to find a handwritten note from the owners who realised that we had visited their cottage 2 years previously. The cottage is comfortable and has a log-burning stove which makes it feel very cosy when were there early in November. Brassington is a small, charming village with 2 niRead morece pubs. There is also great walking in the surrounding area and don't forget to visit Matlock Wells which is a very quirky place! Hide

We recently returned from a week at 1 The Barn. The property was a disappointment. On arrival it was not very clean, and had an overriding smell of dog. The kitchen cookware desperately needs replacing. The bathroom is tired, shabby and could do with replacing. The property advertises as suitable for 6 guests, however the lounge and kitchen are notRead more big enough, and there is only 1 bathroom. One positive...the beds were comfortable. In our opinion, this was not worth the high price! Hide
