Warming this room, the wood burner is perfect for cosying up in front of as you find a seat on the pair of comfortable sofas. Spend time in front of the TV after adventures or unwind with a book. The gorgeous sunroom sits between the lounge/diner and the kitchen and offers a lovely place to sit and make plans for tomorrow as you gaze out over the garden towards the fells. Two doubles and a twin are tranquil rooms and share the family bathroom with a roll-top, free-standing bath, shower and WC. We had a lovely few days over New Year at the Old Stables. We were a party of six adults and two dogs and we had plenty of room and the house was very cosy and well equipped. It's great to have the additional fridge in the utility room and a full freezer in the kitchen is also a bonus when you have a few to cater for! The location is fabulous - eveRead moren in December/January when we had some awful rain, the scenery is spectacular and great for dog walks (with care for sheep in the fields). Hide

Lovely spacious house in a beautiful setting. Lots of extra touches to make it welcoming, like books, games, puzzles etc and a bbq. The WiFi was excellent and the smart TV made good use of it! Kitchen well stocked with utensils etc and two modern ovens made cooking easy. We all loved the sun room at the back. Would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic spacious cottage in a lovely location. There are loads of beautiful walks in the area, many from the door and the cottage itself is a lovely warm and welcoming place to return to after a busy day exploring. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be returning.
