Follow the path leading from the large parking area and round to the front of this spacious detached house set in a residential area outside of Keswick town centre. You will immediately discover a traditional interior equipped with plenty of home comforts.

The welcoming hall has the impressive lounge with wood burning stove on your right, while the large dining room with table and seating for 18 people is on your left. The spacious kitchen is filled with natural light from the integrated orangery. There is a breakfast table for casual meals, and an adjoining pantry/utility area featuring a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The kitchen has a double gas AGA oven for cooking up a storm, and there is also a microwave, dishwasher, two fridges and an electric hob. The first of the bedrooms is located on this floor, a cosy room with large twin beds. Refresh yourself in the adjacent wet room.  

Climb the stairs to find six bedrooms. There are four bedrooms with double beds and en-suite shower rooms with WCs, one double, and a pleasant twin room that also benefits from its own en-suite shower room and WC. A set of steep stairs leads up to the eaves of the house on the second floor, where you’ll find the family suite with adjoining twin rooms. The first room with two twin beds leads into the second room with two twin beds.  Both feature sloped ceilings so beware of reduced head height. A shower room, sink and WC can be found between the two rooms.

Outside, the surrounding gardens are divided into different areas and beautifully landscaped. There is an inviting woodfired hot tub in the front garden where you can relax and unwind from the activities of the day., which is available for use between 8am and 10pm every day. To the rear is the patio with a BBQ, just right for some alfresco evenings, while watching the children playing on the swings and slide in their own play area. Ample parking is available in the tarmacked car park, which also offers storage for up to eight bikes and an outside wash down point for rinsing away the mud.

We enjoyed a lovely family break at Hazelwood house,celebrating my mum's 90th birthday & my sisters 60th. Twelve adults,five children, and four cockapoos ! The house catered well for all our needs & was both spacious & comfortable.The younger ones in the party, did a lot of walking & climbing & for the older members, Keswick was on the doorstep,so Read morewe could enjoy all the shops,cafes & restaurants & my mum especially enjoyed the Thursday & Saturday markets.Also Keswick is very dog friendly. A lovely spacious house which is more than adequate for a large party to gather. The property is well equipped and in a location that allows for a pleasant walk by foot into the town centre and Lake.

Perfect place for a short break with the walking club. House is lovely, well equipped and very close to the cycle path for easy access into town. Would definitely recommend to others and hope to be back ourselves.

Amazing house, communal seating areas were perfect, dinning room ideal, and bedrooms were all lovely, it was warm and inviting, the younger ones had a lot of fun in the hot tub too, the four legged one lived the wood to the rear and the very local morning walks, perfect for our family gathering.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my dads 90th birthday with 16 family members. The house was beautiful - so clean and comfortably furnished . The flow of the rooms worked perfectly and we never felt crammed in. An excellent space with seating in both the kitchen and livingroom which is ideal for large groups. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean and really useful with a big group so nobody is waiting around to get showered. This is the perfect holiday home for a large group in the Lake District! It is wonderfully equipped in a beautiful location with handy access to the railway path that leads into Keswick. Brilliant place to stay for family get together. Ideally located for a lovely 10/15 minute walk along the old railway line in to Keswick. Lovely and clean and having everything you need for your stay. Booked for the four time for next year 2025.

A wonderful spacious rambling house, fabulous for a family get together! We all loved Hazelwood house. Very comfortable, spacious & well equipped. There was plenty loo roll, some cleaning stuff and dish tablets. The garden is lovely, plenty parking and nice outside seating area. The hottub took a while to heat so prepare this in planet time before you want to use it. Would definitely return.

This house is absolutely perfect. There were 16 of us and the house was more than big enough. Its to a really high spec throughout with a really spacious kitchen with comfy seating area, large lounge and large dining room. Most bedrooms are en-suite. It has a huge carpark that could easily fit 10 cars on. Excellent house, very roomy and in a good location. The nearby cycling and walking path meant it was easy to get into Keswick. The house was very well equipped. The log fire certainly pumped out the heat.

What a great house. The location was perfect allowing all members of the group access to The Lakes during the day as well as being a perfect place to all get together in the evening. The house was absolutely beautiful throughout. Some of the rooms are still part of the ongoing refurbishment, but even still, these rooms were clean and tidy. The house was very well equipped and there was nothing we needed that we couldn't find! The hot tub was a great addition, but it took a very long time and a lot of logs to heat it up in the vRead moreery cold weather (the lid was frozen type of cold!) Fantastic location, outdoor space and downstairs rooms. Bedrooms were small and some were very small and in need of modernisation. AGA cooker not easy to use and needed a good clean. However, fantastic place for large group. We had 12 and for that size it was great nit sure how it would be for more .

First impressions were good BUT cleanliness was lacking, the window on landing absolutely disgusting, dead Bees/Wasps/Flies just left there. The hot tub leaks and is a waste of time because it takes at least three hours to warm up, therefore by the time you return from your day out its too late to use. Two bedrooms, Skiddaw and Castlerigg have bedsRead more so hard you cant sleep. Thirlmere has had the shower fitted so low my brother had to stoop, hes 5ft 10inches. NOT dog friendly at all. Hide

Very noisy, being right at the junction of two heavily trafficked roads. Furniture and fittings good.all interior woodwork needs repainting. Barbecue inadequate. Wood fired Hot tub very difficult to implement as it requires at least two hours of attention to get it suitable for use. Close to level pathway for access to town, ( c 20 mins)
