The property is located just a short walk from Wooler’s charming high street, with a great range of food and craft shops, galleries, dog-friendly pubs and welcoming restaurants including the world class Northumberland Anglo-Saxon Museum and English whisky distillery Ad Gefrin. Walk to beautiful Wooler Common from the doorstep (1.5 miles) for a choice of trails, including St. Cuthbert’s Way, or stroll to Wooler Water (1 mile) for a picnic by the stream. Head into the magnificent Northumberland National Park to discover the Cheviot Hills and stunning views; from the summit of The Cheviot itself you can see Holy Island, which is a must-visit during your stay. The wide, sandy beach and splendid Castle at Bamburgh will take your breath away, or you could break for the border and spend a day exploring Edinburgh.
Enter through the main door into the stylish, shared vestibule. Take the stairs to the first floor to reach the apartment and you will come into a hallway with a storage cupboard for your outdoor clothing. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is located off the hallway with large windows offering views towards the hills. This is a great space for spending time together, with comfortable sofas where you can all unwind after your daily adventures and watch a programme on the Smart TV. The family chef can create delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. Sit at the dining table to eat, drink, and plan your next day’s activities, and when it’s time for bed, there are three well-appointed bedrooms all with blackout blinds, to choose from. There is a king-size bed in the main bedroom which has plenty of storage, views towards the hills, and an en-suite shower room with a WC. Overlooking the rear of the building is the second bedroom with a double bed, while the third bedroom has twin beds. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath and a WC.
The spacious grounds include lawned areas for exercising pets, there is also a number of attractive seating areas and table and chairs for al fresco dining, light the BBQ as the sun dips below the trees and enjoy supper under the stars.
