Threlkeld is a beautiful Lakeland village situated in an elevated position with views across the valley to the Helvellyn range and the vale of Keswick. It's located on the lower slopes of Blencathra, offering excellent fell walking right from the door. The town of Keswick is only a few miles away and has plenty on offer including museums, a theatre on the lake, local shops and a fantastic variety of places to eat out. Derwentwater is a must-see, set in the amazing scenery, and has a choice of ways to head out on the lake, from boat tours or hiring your own rowing boat.

Once you step through the front door you will instantly be hit by the luxurious style of this property. The lounge exudes relaxation with a comfortable sofa, armchair, wood burner and Smart TV - what more could you want for an evening in? Head on through the hub of the house, which is the sunroom, with windows all around which offer a fantastic aspect over the garden and to the mountains beyond. Set on one side is the dining table and chairs which create a great space for a family meal any time of the day and there is also a seating area to the other side which is great for those who want to sit back and have a read or enjoy the tranquil views. The kitchen is a dream with all you need and is a great space to cook up a storm. It's equipped with an electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Out the back is the utility room with a sink, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Also, on the ground floor is a handy WC as you come in the front door. Up the oak and glass staircase, step onto the first floor where you'll find the amazing master bedroom, boasting views over the fells from the king-size bed and a great en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Along the corridor is the twin bedroom with beautiful views of the garden, where you might be able to spot one of the resident red squirrels, and another en-suite shower room with shower and a WC. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. The next double bedroom room offers built-in wardrobe space for the guests and the last bedroom is a kids' dream with a triple bunk bedroom with a single bed over double, again with spectacular panoramic fell views of the northern lakes.

The garden offers plenty of space for all to enjoy with a lawned area and patio with seating for those al fresco meals while enjoying the picturesque views. There is also plenty of parking for four cars.

Satis House was a lovely holiday home for the whole family. We had Grandparents, children & grandchildren and all were well catered for. It has a very homely feel and watching the red squirrels playing in the garden was wonderful. We did have a leak in the oil fired boiler on our first day but we phoned and it was all sorted very quickly. The ownerRead mores parents even arrived late afternoon to clean up and made a very good job of getting rid of the horrible smell. Thank you. Hide

A well set out property for our party of 7 (5 adults and 2 children). The en suite rooms and family bathroom situation worked very well. The situation is excellent..Blencathra rearing up behind the property, good bus service into Keswick (or a lovely walk aling the railway) and may walks from the door. Satis House is one of the best cottages I have stayed in. It is rare in a rented property that there isn't anything that's missing or doesn't work, but that is the case here. A warm, comfortable and, beautifully presented cottage, that lacks nothing.

Lovely house. There were six adults and one toddler in our party and there was plenty of room to gather or have time out if required. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Books and games were available to use. Beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. This cottage is great. The size of the house is perfect for a family. The interior is done really well and in a modern way. We have never seen a more equipped cottage. I really suggest this place for a relaxing break. You will need cars to get to places of course. Thank you Satis House.

This is a really well equipped and comfortable house. Location is great with easy access to Blencathra, the coffee shop and two pubs. The old rail line walk into Keswick also really handy. Welcome hamper was the best we've ever had! Highly recommended!
