The Old Piggery provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. The attention to detail in the furnishing and equipping of the property is amazing. Having the owner readily available, just up the lane, adds a feeling of welcome. We cycled into Taunton and enjoyed water activities on the Bridgewater to Taunton canal. I thought the place was fantastic and I would absolutely stay again! Very clean and tidy. Owner even made brownies and left milk for our arrival which was a lovely touch. Place is well equipped and even had games! Also a quiet location so can relax, the place is a complete sun trap so we took advantage of the patio and dined alfresco. A very tranquil location, and a lovely welcome from the owners. Nothing was too much trouble. The pub a short walk away (The Nags Head) is no longer trading (2024) so a car is required most of the time. Lots to do in the vicinity, including the Fleet Air Arm Museum, and check out the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre for comedy and performances.
