The cottage is located on the Lincolnshire Fens, with a wealth of local history. The historic market towns of Boston, Spalding, Donington (all within 10 miles), and Sleaford (15 miles) are nearby. Take boat trips from Boston out into the Wash, with excellent bird watching areas, or visit Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve (35 miles), near Skegness. Visit the Fen Rivers for course fishing with Bream, Roach, Pike, and Zander. Ingoldmells’ Fantasy Island (36 miles) and Maplethorpe (45 miles) provide a great day out for all ages. Another attraction a little closer is the city of Lincoln (35 miles) and its Norman castle. Lincolnshire is home to the RAF and if you are lucky enough, you could see the Red Arrows practising.

Step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and make yourself at home. The lounge area offers lots of comfy seating to curl up and relax in front of the TV. The kitchen area offers everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and microwave. There is a farmhouse dining table where you can sit and plan the day's activities ahead. The barn benefits from a handy downstairs shower room with a shower and WC. Heading upstairs there are two bedrooms, a family room with double and single bed, with views over the surrounding countryside and a twin bedroom with views over the pond and gardens.

There is a patio area with seating and a BBQ, perfect for those warmer days when you’re relaxing with good company and enjoying the surrounding wildlife. Head through the gated garden to reach the wildlife pond teeming with unusual wildfowl and wallabies. There is off-road parking for three cars.

We had a lovely holiday at Wildfowl Cottage. Margaret was the perfect host. We really enjoyed seeing all the variety of wildfowl she has all kept in a beautiful setting. Plenty of places to visit in the area. We hope to go back!

Fabulous holiday for us and our two dogs who are missing their new friends so much. Nothing was too much to ask and felt well at home. We hope to go back really soon.

Wonderful host, very friendly. Location is very good to visit all major towns in Lincolnshire. It was a pleasure and sheer joy to feed the wildfowl, chicken, ducks, emu and wallabies everyday in the back garden.
