Set in a popular village with a lovely green and friendly pub/restaurant less than five minutes' walk away, this spacious holiday lodge provides an ideal retreat for exploring Northumberland's beautiful coastal area. Just 10 minutes' drive will take you to the harbour village of Craster with its fabulous seafood, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and historic Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum – the home of Earl Grey tea. Walk the picturesque coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle, enjoy a round of golf at Embleton followed by a pub lunch, or stroll along Embleton Bay's golden sands to Low Newton's beachside micro-brewery. Beadnell Bay offers water sports and rock pooling, while Seahouses harbour provides boat trips to the Farne Islands to spot puffins, seals and possibly dolphins.

Enter this light-filled lodge through the covered porch and into the hallway. The generous lounge features dual aspect windows including wide sliding doors that lead to the side patio and garden, with a large comfortable sofa and two matching easy chairs for relaxing after days of exploration. Watch the Smart TV, browse the selection of maps and books, or enjoy family time with various games. The bright, well-appointed kitchen comes equipped with an electric double oven and hob, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the kitchen island while catching up on news via the Smart TV, or use the separate dining room for meals together. Three uniquely decorated bedrooms lead off from the hallway – a front-facing king-size, a front-facing double, and a double bedroom with garden views and an en-suite shower room with WC. The fully tiled family bathroom features a corner bath, shower cubicle, heated towel rail, and WC.

Outside, mature gardens to the front and rear provide plenty of space to unwind. The private side patio area offers garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. The gated driveway provides ample parking for four cars.

As other guests have mentioned. The property is very spacious, comfortable and warm. In a delightful area within easy reach of all the fabulous beaches and restaurants. Great pub, The Horseshoe, just four minutes walk from property but take a torch as there is no lighting along the pathway. We hope to return next year.

Our stay was excellent and very peaceful. The bungalow was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We like to cook and it was good to have both ovens clean and working, and a very good choice of utensils. The garden was lovely and our dog loved it (not secure as mentioned in the need to know section). Sadly we were not able to try the pub asRead more it was shut the week we were there. Superb location for Alnwick, shops, and some lovely beaches. In a single word "Perfect". We will be back! Hide

Very comfortable, (the best of beds) very clean , well equipped and in lovely unspoilt quiet area. Ideal for a touring holiday. The local pub (very few steps) a little gem. All the food home cooked and excellent.. We only had one large car, I do feel parking more than two cars would have been a bit tight .. maybe
