This welcoming holiday accommodation flat is located on one of Northumberland's finest seaside beaches in the tranquil village of Spittal, near Berwick-upon-Tweed. The apartment is ideally placed for exploring the border town of Berwick with its beaches, boat trips, restaurants, and shopping. The surrounding area is perfect for day trips with its wealth of attractions including the charming fishing villages of Burnmouth, Craster, Eyemouth, and St. Abbs, as well as iconic Bamburgh Castle. For wildlife enthusiasts, boat trips to the Farne Islands are ideal for seeing seals and puffins (April to July).

The open-plan lounge/diner features a large picture window showcasing fabulous sea views towards Holy Island. The comfortable living area includes a sofa, two easy chairs, and a Smart TV - perfect for relaxing evenings after a day of exploration. Lovely stay, beautiful location. We enjoyed slow mornings watching the wildlife including dolphins and headed out to all sorts of places. Day visit to Edinburgh and Newcastle by train and Alnwick castle Bamburgh, Seahouses and Farne Island boat tour. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped and we requested Saturday to Saturday and this wRead moreas no problem for the owners. Overall a lovely trip to a lovely part of the country. Hide

Clean, comfortable and well equipped property in a superb location. The sea views are amazing, and how lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. Having a parking space is also very useful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I could not recommend this property as it is at the moment. While the view is spectacular, there were too many issues for us to enjoy our stay: a smelly damp patch with flaking paint in the entrance, a bare wire sticking out of the wall, windows that didn't open properly, no shower mat or rail, no patio as advertised, just a space underneath a neigRead morehbour's window, dead roses left on the table, steep narrow stairs into the living room and a paltry 3 dishwasher tablets. The situation of the flat was great having a view of the sea and treated to a wonderful display of pods of dolphins every day during our stay!! It would be helpful to give directions from the North as well as from the South. I had to purchase two 4.5 tog duvets as the ones provided were winter weight of 13.5 tog and 10.5 tog. The flat is perfectly located. It was amazing to sit in the living room and look out the window to watch the dolphins swim past every day.

The view is the best part of this property. That isn't to say the rest of it isn't good though - it is comfortable and adequate. We had a wonderful time just relaxing looking at the view. When we ventured out we enjoyed the history of Berwick, beautiful scenery and some pretty little places to visit. We appreciated the wide open spaces of NorthumbeRead morerland, the lack of tourists and traffic. It isn't a night-life kind of place which suited us as we're past all that. Hide

Perfect location and suitable for our family of 4 (2 boys ages 12 & 9) it was our first trip to Northumberland and this was perfect for us to use to explore all around the area. Had everything we needed. Good WiFi and bonus had Netflix for guests to use which meant after a busy day of walking and exploring and day trips we could relax as a family iRead moren the evening and watch a film. Fabulous position watching porpoises and sunrise. Lovely walk into Berwick..The apartment however did not match the location and needs a refresh and a handyman to fix blinds and windows. Needs a thorough clean as windows inside, paintwork and surfaces were dirty and grubby.On arrival toilet was dirty and bedding not changed, rang the number to repoRead morert issues. We changed our , bedding the cleaner came the next day. Crockery chipped and scratched, not acceptable.Not a good start to our holiday. Hide

We had a lovely week here. The location was amazing, and seeing the dolphins from the living room window was one of the highlights of the holiday. The house was really comfortable and had everything you could need. Plenty to do and see nearby, some great walks, an easy drive to shops and restaurants. Would definitely return.
