This superb property benefits from an ideal location in the bustling town of Matlock, which has a host of things to see and do on your doorstep including array of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a weekly market and parks is also within easy reach of the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, both ideal for whiling away an afternoon. The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn. Just a short drive away will take you to the nearby picturesque market town of Bakewell which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a fantastic place for meandering through the various shops, cafes and restaurants.

You enter into this bright, airy and spacious property arriving into a small hallway which leads into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The chef of the party can rustle up a meal for guests who can sit at the island and discuss the day they had and the adventures ahead over a nice meal and a drink. Heading over to the lounge area you can’t help but admire the original gothic arched windows that provide natural light and this provides the perfect backdrop to where you can relax on the two comfortable sofas and put on the smart TV. The stairway leads to the original arch of the church which faces the two well-presented bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made up as a twin on request, it has its own en suite bathroom with shower over spa bath and WC. The second bedroom also has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made up as a twin on request. Next to the twin room is a shower room with shower and WC.

We had such a lovely stay at this converted chapel. It was impeccably clean, a lovely kitchen and very comfortable beds. The hill to the centre of town is absolutely fine for people with moderate fitness. We didnt find this a problem at all. Also, the parking was always possible down the side streets.

Fantastic, cosy, warm well equipped apartment close to town centre. If you walk into town just be aware the hill is quite steep on the way back. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable apartment to explore the Peak District from. There are two small real ale pubs within 30yards which were a great find for refreshment on arrival after a long journey.

The place was beautifully done out and very clean. The Chapel is ideally situated for good walks and restaurants in walking distance. Would thoroughly recommend. The beds were very comfy indeed.

This apartment was stunning. My Sister and I have stayed in many different styles of accommodation and this was definitely one of the best. Parking was a disappointment, especially for arrival and leaving, and the only real negative is its location on the hill.

The place is quite special. The only thing we were missing and which you couldn't guess or see on from the pictures is, that you don't have windows on the upper floor which one can open. Incredible property. Great location, the interior is immaculate and so spacious. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on the top floor, incredible open plan kitchen / lounge area. Pubs & cafes all close by, lovely walks and amazing views from the top of the hill only a few minutes walk away.

Wow what a place. Plenty of space, beautifully restored and everything you could need. We went as 2 couples and with 2 bathrooms it worked, no fighting for the shower ! Bed fabulously comfy. 10 minute walk into town centre (up hill on way back!). Lovely cafes, bars and restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Church Quarters. It's very clean and had everything we needed. Although didn't have onsite parking it wasn't an issue as parking was available on a side road nearby. If we could change one thing it would be the check in and check out time. It wouldve been great if the check in time was 3pm and check out time 10.30/11am as 4Read morepm is pretty late if you want to get in, put your things away, rest a bit and then pop out for food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful accommodation, owners went over and above to make our stay perfect. Location is amazing especially when we got snow. The hill climb can be quite a struggle if unfit but we mastered it in the end. Will definitely return again

Be prepared for a walk up the steep hill, but the views are worth it! The flat is lovely and spacious whilst remaining cosy and relaxing. It had everything we needed for a lovely week with some thoughtful welcoming touches. The owners were extremely helpful in communicating and answering some questions we had. Absolutely recommended.

Church Quarters is an immaculate , well furnished apartment . Everything needed for a self - catering holiday is provided .. The apartment is set off Bank Road but there is no sound of traffic or passers by . This is a place that we hope to return to .
