This superbly renovated property sits riverside on the banks of the River Torridge in the North Devon town of Bideford. The river is spanned by an impressive stone bridge dating back to the 13th Century and is the focal point of the town. – Wander along the bustling quayside, watch the fishing boats and daily life go by or settle into one of the quayside coffee shops. Set on a residential road with a nearby pub, restaurant, cycle hire and repair garage, you also overlook the fabulous  Tarka Trail which is a traffic free path stretching for 30 miles, perfect for picturesque walks and bike rides. Alternatively, you can enjoy the excellent surf beach at Westward Ho! which is a short drive away. Within walking distance of the cottage are two excellent pubs offering good food and the area's most popular hotel with an excellent restaurant open to non-residents.

On entering the property, you are met by a lounge area with feature fireplace with gas fire, Smart TV and comfy seating, an ideal place to relax after a busy day. Leading on is the large kitchen/diner, the real hub of the property it is dominated by the riverside views which can be seen through the large bi folding doors that invite you out onto the large patio. The kitchen area is well fitted and equipped in an a stylish industrial style and offers everything you need to cook up a feast including a large electric range oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine (no pds required) washing machine and tumble drier, a good size oak dining table and chairs ensures mealtimes are a breeze. Heading back through the lounge you will find a ground floor bathroom with bath and WC. Heading upstairs there are three bedrooms 1 twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request at the time of booking), 1 double and the master bedroom which has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room with WC and large bi folding doors leading out onto a balcony with seating and superb river views across to the Little White Town of Bideford, a beautiful view to wake up to each morning. A further separate shower room with WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside from the kitchen/diner you have a large enclosed patio area which has various zones to enjoy, garden furniture, a summer house, outdoor lighting, and charcoal BBQ you can even fish over the river wall, it is the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon or an early evening drink. Allocated and secure off-road parking is available for up to two cars and others can park nearby on the roadside.

Owners seemed really lovely & very helpful.The cottage itself looked lovely and was very clean.It was a shame that equipment wasn't working-broken washing machine,we would have come with more clothes had we known.Gas fire did not work,the pilot light wouldn't stay on.The bedroom with twin beds had a leaking window and in torrential rain it was not Read moreideal, so we cut our stay short and left a day early.Wasn't overly impressed with the noisy garage next door,and it was noisy!! - Thank you for sharing your feedback. Unfortunately, the owner was not aware of this prior to you bringing it to his attention. By reporting this the owner was able to investigate the issues and try his best to offer solutions for you to enjoy the rest of your stay. We had a lovely 3 night stay here. 6 adults and 4 dogs. There was plenty of room and everything we needed in the way of equipment. I was a little concerned regarding the fence at the bottom of the garden as we have a smaller size terrier but it was perfectly safe for him and the other dogs

Great roomy house, very well equipped and super inviting and comfortable. It has super views over the estuary and an easy walk into the town. Lovely to have a call from the owner before the holiday who gave us loads of tips and recommendations.

This was a holiday for my whole family and to celebrate my 60th birthday the house was brilliant we have never stayed in such a well equipped house even my granddaughter was catered for . Very clean and comfortable cottage. The owners seem to have thought of everything to make it truly a home from home. Including small thoughtful additions such as shopping bags, tissues, dishwasher tablets. There were five of us with a dog, we all had enough space to be together and to relax separately. Lovely property with an excellent view. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed most nights in the garden of the property. Owners were very informative regarding places to go and places to eat. We enjoyed a very pleasant week. The location overlooking the river was great for watching the ebb and flow of the tide and sunsets over the town. The house was clean/comfy with lovely fluffy towels. A very well equipped kitchen, we even baked a cake with tins provided! The parking however was tight (bmw x1 and vw polo) for 2 cars with the gates clRead moreosed. Lovely property could look at the river view all day. Comfortable and well equipped, very dog friendly, ours certainly had a great time ! Great area to visit nowhere is too far. Would consider returning in the future.

What an absolutely fabulous cottage it has everything you could need the owner has thought of everything for your comfort location is great very clean and comfortable would absolutely stay there again loved it so much just wish I had booked longer did not want it to end the dogs loved it (two small dogs) hubby loved it.

The house is beautifully presented and is very dog friendly apart from dogs are not allowed upstairs which we were not made aware off until arrival. The property is centrally located and has a lot of very good walks in the surrounding areas. There is a working tyre garage next door however apart from music no real concerns. Had a lovely week recently at number 10. Very comfortable , relaxing , enjoyable holiday was had by all. 4 adults and 4 small dogs . The view was lovely and picturesque. We would like to return hopefully next year.

Perfect location. A short walk over the bridge offers plenty of eateries, for those feeling more adventurous the Tarka trail is great walk to Instow. Its ideal for visiting surrounding areas such as Westward Ho, Bude and Ilfracombe all under 40 minutes drive. The view over the estuary is amazing; and the garden was safe for our dogs. A very beautifully clean and tidy house and very dog friendly, we were worried a little about the dogs being able to jump in the water but there was clear glass on the wall and the dogs just loved to stand and sniff all the smells that were in the air. Great accommodation with great outdoor space and kitchen with all u need. Easy to walk to bideford or sit in garden and watch the river. Just check tide times.if you want to fish!
