Attractive detached stone house set in over an acre of enclosed grounds and situated in a quiet glen overlooking open countryside and surrounded by wildlife and birds. Set in an elevated spot just five miles from the House of Bruar and 10 miles from Kinloch Rannoch. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the property sits between the Tay Forest Park and the Cairngorm National Park and offers some fabulous walks and bike tracks for all abilities The property is within a mile of the Etape Caledonia road cycling route. The House of Bruar is just a few minutes away and here you will find country clothing, classic tweed and outdoor wear, gifts and a fabulous restaurant and food hall. Nearby Blair Castle boasts impressive gardens and grounds as well as the famous castle itself and Pitlochry is just some 20 minutes away with many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to visit and enjoy. There are also several 9 and 18 hole golf courses within easy reach.

Enter the house into the lobby which has a small separate WC, the hallway then opens into the large farmhouse style kitchen with feature beamed ceiling, warming 4 oven Aga, and large dining table which seats all the family. The kitchen is equipped with the addition of a small electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The utility room next door has a washer and separate dryer. From the kitchen you will enter the large lounge which has dual wood burners which stand at either end of the room, a fabulous space to entertain the whole family. There is a large Smart TV with Sky and comfy sofas and at the bottom of the lounge there is a chill out area with seating, bean bags and books. The open staircase from the lounge leads you to a large landing where you will find the three bedrooms, two spacious doubles and a pretty twin. The bathroom is situated along the landing and has underfloor heating, a fabulous lit Bluetooth enabled mirror, a shower over the bath and WC. All the rooms in this house have views across the fields and countryside or garden.

Heading outside there is large well maintained and attractive enclosed garden to explore. There is a large open field area which the kids will love for a game of football or rounders and the lawn to the front of the house has a fabulous wooden play area, you will struggle to get the kids to leave the house and its surroundings. There is garden furniture on the patio, perfect to dine alfresco or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while watching the kids explore. There is ample off-road parking and two kennels which can be used for dogs. There is also handy under cover storage for bikes and golf clubs.

An amazing week in a beautiful cottage. The hosts had thought of everything. A real home from home. Beautiful and peaceful countryside. Plenty of places to visit in the area and plenty of information in the cottage.

Tomcraggach Cottage was a perfect location for our family get-together, including our two young grandchildren. The location was peaceful, beautiful, and we loved the copious birdlife around the property. It was very clean, well equipped, and well organised. Nial was a great host. Would recommend. Great accommodation in stunning surroundings. The dogs loved the large enclosed garden, with walks direct from the property to Lochs and forest. House of Bruar Is nearby for some retail therapy. Twenty minutes drive to Pitlochry, which looked a lovely town, with lots of restaurants. We saw red and roe deer daily around the property and even had a pRead moreine marten visit the feeders. We had a lovely holiday in Tomcraggach Cottage. The house was a home away from home, great amenities, clean and homely. We really enjoyed our walks around the area and especially the views it offered. After spending time outside in the cold October weather we could come back to a comfy living room and stay cosy by the fire and Aga. The property is extremely well equipped and well placed for enjoying the outdoors. It was ideal for a family of 6 and our dog. I dont think you will find a better property especially if you enjoy seeing wildlife and being in the countryside. Great to see the Pine Marten, Woodpeckers and Nuthatches on the feeders. Beautiful, warm and well equipped cottage with plenty of information provided. This cottage is in such a lovely special part of the Scottish Highlands. The cottage has some lovely walks nearby and there are lovely walks straight out of the rear garden onto the hills with an abundance of wild life on your doorstep (deer, birds and lots more).

The farmhouse is beautiful with old world charm but with every modern convenience catered for. The Aga is a wonderful feature and easy to use. Just home from a fantastic week, the weather wasnt great but the beautiful comfortable farmhouse made up for that. Despite the weather we walked each day.
