The stable conversion is set in an elevated location with far reaching views across the countryside, with The Three Choirs walking trail literately on the doorstep. Close to the vibrant market town of Newent and the historic market town of Ledbury which are both well served with shops, pubs and restaurants. The International Birds of Prey Centre is in the village and welcomes visitors. The Forest of Dean offers excellent family days out with Clearwell caves, a steam railway, and Puzzle Wood. Visit Go Ape at Beechenhurst which has everything from adventure activities to cycle hire, or the city of Gloucester with its wonderful cathedral where Harry Potter and the Beatrix Potter were filmed. Monmouth and Abergavenny are under an hour away where there are wonderful castles and places to visit.

This single storey stable conversion has its own fenced area within the owners’ farm where you can enjoy the views from this peaceful location. As you enter the house you can take a seat on the old church pew to remove your boots after a day of exploring. To your right you will find a utility room that is well equipped for muddy boots and coats with a washing machine installed. To your left, beyond the entrance hall is the main living space which is beautifully finished in a contemporary style and warmed with underfloor heating and a wood burner. It is here that you can sink into the large sofa or an armchair to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV or DVD player. There is a pleasant dining area where you could eat quietly or catch up with friends. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, large oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The wide oak topped breakfast bar and stools are perfect for keeping the chef company or enjoying a simple breakfast. When the day is done you will find the two bedrooms down the hallway. The master bedroom has a king size bed with wall mounted TV and DVD player, and a well-appointed shower room with wash basin toilet and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 has two 3’ single beds also with wall mounted TV and DVD player. There is a shower room off the hallway with wash basin toilet and heated towel rail.

Outside there is a landscaped area with two large patios with tables and chairs where the guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. There is a gas fired BBQ and storage for bikes at the farm. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars and the whole area is enclosed.

Fabulous comfortable cottage in a tranquil setting. Lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Great for outdoor activities in the Forest of Dean and lovely walks on your doorstep ,along with having plenty of shops within a 30 minutes drive if needs be.

A lovely holiday home located in a beautiful quiet location at the end of a country lane. The cottage had every facility needed for a short break. It was clean and comfortable. The owners who live in the adjoining farm property were particularly helpful and welcoming. Located close to Newent, the cottage is well placed. We visited Goodrich castle, Read moreTintern Abbey, Symonds Yat, Gloucester Cathedral and Croome House as well as doing several local walks. May Hill, 2 miles away is a walk worth doing. Hide

We all had a great time at Hudgemoor Retreat. The cottage was situated in a quiet and very relaxing part of the world. A bonus was the weather which was very kind to us. Our host Pat was a delight and so very helpful.

The Lodge is in a scenic location perfect for relaxing, no noise (only sheep and cows) no traffic (heaven) and few people (only the local homeowners) it doesnt get much better than that. The Lodge itself is beautiful and finished to a high standard. Everything you need is there, beds are comfy, lounge seating is good, kitchen has all you need. Lovely isolated and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle. Loved the friendly goats on the farm. Accommodation was spacious and clean with all that we needed. Location was with reasonable access to some quaint towns etc.

This is a lovely property in a beautiful tranquil setting. It is spotlessly clean, with quality fitments and fittings and is warm and comfortable. It isn't the easiest to find but is the perfect spot for walking and exploring the local area and its surrounds. Absolutely lovely retreat & stay away for Easter 2024! Four Adults with a 19m old. It's wonderful, so clean, modern with luxurious bedding & towels. Beds so very comfortable too. Literally has everything you need. Kitchen obviously not been used much in the past but we christened it! Had everything we needed. Showers have plenty of power. Our first visit to the Forest of Dean since we were children but it definitely wont be our last Hudgemoor Cottage was so comfy and cosy. There was everything we needed for our stay. I was so proud of myself after doing some online reading I lit the log burner and this put icing on the cake for cosy living. Already looking at dates for next year

Lovely cottage and a great location for a relaxing, quiet break. Everything you need, all very clean and good quality - cannot fault it. Lots of walks from the doorstep, great if, like us, you have a dog. Would definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet and to unwind.

Lovely accommodation in quite location which suited us. Walks from the door so didn't have to use car all the time with the dog. Make sure you bring your supplies with as nearest shops in Newham 2 miles away though everything you need is at large CO OP.

Loved it ;when we found it (a lot of single track roads with passing places). They have a herd of goats on the farm, I could have watched them for hours. The cottage is wonderful! Set in beautiful countryside with amazing walks on the doorstep, we couldnt have asked for a better place to base ourselves as we explored the Wye valley and Forest of Dean.
