Bellingham, the gateway town to Kielder, is nearby with its pubs, shops, and cafe. For those wanting to go further afield, Hadrian's Wall Country and the unspoilt Northumberland coastline with its splendid sandy beaches, including Bamburgh and Lindisfarne, make excellent day trips. The Scottish Borders are also within easy reach, with historic Jedburgh just a drive away.
