This wonderful former art gallery is an end-terrace townhouse in the heart of Tideswell, only a short distance from the Chatsworth House estate, Bakewell’s famous puddings and the spa town of Buxton. If you are on foot, you have excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Neighbouring Litton offers a perfect excuse for a nice stroll up the hill, through farmland and pastures; you are rewarded with the public house to quench your thirst. By car, Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away, with the spa town of Buxton and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House being just a short drive. Famous for the fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, 'The Cathedral of the Peak' sits just behind this property and is well worth a visit.

Step through the threshold and into the hallway with the warm and cosy lounge off the entrance hallway. There are comfy sofas waiting to be snuggled up on, and a nearby Smart TV - alongside a selection of books and games - is great for lazy days. The kitchen/diner is bright and inviting with everything you need for a relaxing stay such as electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Come together with loved ones around the kitchen table and plan your days ahead. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find two bedrooms: a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin upon request) and a double bedroom. Each bedroom is bright and airy with subtle fabrics with splashes of colour and all the usual bedroom furniture you would expect. The family bathroom offers a shower over the bath, sink and WC. Heading up to the second floor, you will find a spacious bedroom with a super-king zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin upon request).

This property does not have a private garden but for pet owners, public grassy areas can be found within a short walk. Parking is available on the street outside the property.

Great house in a perfect location. Suited our family of 4 adults. Great pubs just a short stroll away and plenty of walks direct from the doorstep. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, and a perfect size for six adults. Easy to find parking, and close to lots of pubs and restaurants. Stairs might prove a bit difficult for elderly guests or very young children. The kitchen was really well stocked with lots of equipment, including plenty plates, bowls, and glasses. Wi-Fi works great and the TV had built in Netflix.

Lovely cottage in a great location for visiting the Peak District. The owner has thought of everything you might need. The option to choose from single or king-size beds was great. We had a wonderful break.

Plenty of local shops and great pubs. Beds were super comfortable & lots of hot water. Red Lion at Litton superb. Don't miss Danish pastry morning on a Saturday at Tindall's Bakery!

Amber House is lovely. It had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The local pubs served great food (we tried The Star and The Horse and Jockey) and there was a lovely cafe round the corner where we had breakfast on our last day.
