If you are on foot, you have excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Neighbouring Litton offers a perfect excuse for a nice stroll up the hill, through farmland and pastures; you are rewarded with the public house to quench your thirst. By car, Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away, with the spa town of Buxton and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House being just a short drive. Famous for the fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, 'The Cathedral of the Peak' sits just behind this property and is well worth a visit.
Step through the threshold and into the hallway with the warm and cosy lounge off the entrance hallway. There are comfy sofas waiting to be snuggled up on, and a nearby Smart TV - alongside a selection of books and games - is great for lazy days. The kitchen/diner is bright and inviting with everything you need for a relaxing stay such as electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find two bedrooms: a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin upon request) and a double bedroom. Heading up to the second floor, you will find a spacious bedroom with a super-king zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin upon request).
