Visit the cobbled market town of Stokesley, home to a market every Friday as well as a independent shops, cafes and restaurants, alongside a golf course and swimming pool. The Yorkshire coast is also a short drive away. Stroll through the villages lined with cottages and enjoy fish and chips on the beach at Whitby or Staithes.

We have honestly had such a lovely time at the Old Hay Barn. The barn was beautiful,it has everything and more you need. It was spotless and very cosy. The hosts were so welcoming and lovely. Made our absolutely perfect

The cottage was beautiful although I regretted telling my daughter she could have the pink room before I saw it it was stunning. Lovely and clean and warm when we arrived. The cottage was ideal for our needs - family of four with two young teenagers, plus two grandparents - for a long weekend. The games room and hot tub were particularly well appreciated by adults and teenagers alike. Beautiful location - fab pub just 2 miles away in kirton. Not really walkable - roads too narrow. Cottage was nice- upstairs lovely - downstairs needs abit of tlc if it is to be advertised as luxury.

The cottage is in a lovely location and we had some amazing walks and enjoyed the local pubs. The rural area suited us perfect especially having our dog with us. There's lots of space in the cottage and is fully equipped. The main bedroom was lovely with the view over the fields from the glass doors. A dishwasher would have been handy and with the Read morelarge kitchen area I am sure it could be accommodated. Including the dog we had a great stay.... Hide

We just had a lovely stay at the hay barn. Its a tastefully decorated, warm, clean comfortable house, in a beautiful location, perfectly situated to explore the local areas. The kids loved the games room and hot tub! And our dog loved the bowls left for her. A nice bag of crisps and bottle of Prosecco were waiting for us. Its very quiet so if you have limited mobility you definitely need a car.The games room was a highlight so much fun but only 2 darts. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Walks to the nearby villages were mainly on country roads so not great. Lord Stones country park well worth a visit.

Amazing stay at Old Hay barn. Set in such Peaceful surroundings with the added extras of the hot tub and games room which the whole family enjoyed each evening. We had a lovely time staying in The Old Hay Barn and it was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. The owners were very helpful and friendly and on hand should you have any queries They also made a few suggestions of lively nearby beaches and coves that we might want to visit during our stay. Stokesley is the nearest town a couple of miles away and a reallRead morey quaint market town with a river running through it and a nice mix of shops to purchase any food items for your stay. The accommodation was good, plenty of room, cleaning of the property could be better. As commented by someone else, you have to bring everything with you, washing up liquid, sponges, cleaning cloths, to bin liners, these very simple items is something I would not necessarily have thought to bring with me, it would be a nice touch to have these hereRead more already. Fabulous, cosy cottage. I went with my partner, 3 year old and dog and it was perfect for us. Just ensure you pack all essentials such as bin liners, toilet roll, fairy liquid as I forgot these...my own fault but there are shops/supermarket around 15 min drive away.
