Beautiful Victorian town house located above one of the UK’s busiest fishing harbours, with a proud maritime history, Brixham makes a fantastic place for a holiday in South Devon. The harbour is the main focal point of the town, but in recent years it has also become known for its arts scene and there are several galleries and workshops which are lovely to spend an afternoon browsing. The restaurants, as visitors might expect, mostly specialise in the local seafood brought home by the fishermen, and there are plenty which are well-regarded, some offering stunning sea views. Beach-lovers won’t be disappointed, as the town boasts several beaches, from the main Breakwater Beach to the quiet and secluded St Mary’s Bay.

Enter this three-storey property and you’ll be welcomed into the open-plan lounge kitchen/diner, with plenty of comfy seating to sit and relax whilst watching a film on the Smart TV with Blu-ray player. The dining area has space for everyone and is perfect for those family meals. Heading into the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher, from here you’ll find a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and WC. head up the stairs to the first floor and you’ll find the first two bedrooms. a king-size with TV, plenty of storage space and impressive views out over Brixham and beyond and a twin bedroom with TV. Completing the first floor is the main bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. Head up again to the second floor to the master bedroom with double bed, plenty of storage, TV and en-suite shower room with shower and WC (The master bedroom has restricted head height due to vaulted ceiling). On this floor you will also find a single bedroom. Please be aware both bedrooms have restricted head space due to vaulted ceilings.

The property is accessed via 14 steps to a small terrace to the front of the property, with a small table and chairs. To the rear of the property is a decking area with garden furniture. This place is a very cosy and warm. The showers are really fantastic. We highly recommended staying here if you are wishing to stay in Brixham. The local shops, restaurants, harbour and south west coastal path are all within a 5 minute walk. We highly recommended the pub (the manor) that's just down the road and down some steps. A really cosy littlRead moree pub full of character with friendly locals and holiday makers. The property has everything you need. A real home away from home. Just perfect. Hide

A good sized property for our family of 4 adults and 3 children however the kitchen is small especially when trying to cook a Christmas lunch. There is no space for storing food apart from the fridge/freezer but the cupboards are stocked with everything you could possibly need. The family bathroom is very large with a huge bathtub and separate showRead moreer. All of the bedrooms are spacious with ample storage, you do need to mind your head in the upper bedrooms. Beautiful cottage well supplied with equipment and very clean. There are a lot of steps into the town or if you follow the road its steep but will get you there. Parking is a problem as you have to find that somewhere as never a space outside the property. House is in a good position for the town and restaurants

Very nice house in a great location ,plenty of room .We were 7 adults of 3 generations .Parking as has been mentioned is challenging & not recommended for elderly or anyone with mobility issues ,lots of steps & steep hills ,but great to be able to walk into the town & harbour in the evening & leave the car behind. I would recommend Albero restauranRead moret & Berry Head hotel . A visit to Coleton Fishacre was a highlight ,beautiful. Hide

Great position, close to the harbour and plenty of room for the seven of us. Parking as expected was a challenge close by so, as recommend by a previous review, I purchased a Tor Bay parking permit and left the car on the long stay car park by the harbour. Although comfortable the property needs a bit of updating

Really enjoyed our week at the house. It was spacious well equipped clean and in a perfect location for us. The owners had even left a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge for us which we thought was very thoughtful. The location was fantastic for us (although people with any problems walking hills or steps beware - you may struggle) We were very lucRead moreky with parking as we bagged 2 spots right outside the house and stayed there for the whole week using buses to get around during our stay. We had a lovely family holiday in Brixham. From the house its a short walk down to the harbour which has everything youd expect. Parking can be a challenge but we always found a space somewhere. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the living spaces were well equipped. Some small improvements needed to the house but its a great base for a holidayRead more! Hide
