Property code: CA305

Start the day with breakfast in the south-facing garden and watch the waves lap at the nearby shore. This property is in an ideal location to head out for a day of adventure in this beautiful part of Arran. With a wide range of walks accessible from Corrie, as well as mountain biking, kayaking, horse riding, or a round on one of Arran's seven golf courses on offer, you'll never run low on things to do. For shops, galleries and restaurants, Brodick is only 4 miles from your door, whilst Lochranza is less than 10 miles away and home to the Isle of Arran distillery.

Beneath the white-washed walls of the apartment, a cosy and calm interior provides a space to sit back and watch the waves from this charming one-level accommodation. The kitchen/dining room is an inviting space to gather and cook together before sitting down to family meals around the table. Follow this up with a board game or a DVD whilst curled up on the comfy leather sofas in the lounge: throw open the doors to the garden for a cool breeze in summer months. Four cheerfully decorated bedrooms await at bedtime: the master double has an en-suite shower room, while the other double bedroom boasts an en-suite with a bath for a well-deserved soak. The two twin rooms share use of the family bathroom.

Head outside into the south-facing garden on sunny evenings to sip aperitifs as the sun starts to drop. The garden is enclosed so your four-legged friends can do their own exploring while you relax. In mornings and evenings, otters are often spotted near the house, so be sure to keep a lookout for them. There's also a large shed available on-site for the storage of bikes and any other sporting equipment you bring.

Superb location with amazing views of the coast and wonderful sunrises. A perfect place to explore the island and relax. We all loved the space inside. Took us a few days to get used to the coloured water. The children loved the rock pools the other side of the road. The dog loved the safe garden and the wide windowsills. We will return next year xRead more Hide

The cottage is in a superb location, right on the shore with beautiful views. Very close to Brodick and Corrie. A perfect base from which to explore the island. This property was an ideal location for a family get together. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable and our four grandchildren had a fantastic time. Ideally located with stunning views. We would be happy to return to Smugglers Den.

Fantastic location; we had the absolute joy of seeing dolphins, otters, oyster catchers and many other interesting wildlife all from the living room window. Kids absolutely loved it. Yes, there is brown water, just bring bottles from the Co-op. Size of the property was fantastic and a great layout for us. Id have liked more storage, especially in tRead morehe living room and kitchen, but thats a personal preference. More outdoor chairs would also have been welcomed. Hide

Comfy beds. Great views. Quiet location and close to amenities. In need of a lick of paint. Nice big fridge/freezer. De-humidifier was handy. Water was, indeed, very brown, but we brought our own for the dogs and for drinking although when boiled for tea/coffee it was okay. We bought soap for handwashing etc. Good value for the price.
