  • South-facing enclosed garden, perfect for canine companions
  • Wide range of local activities, including walking, mountain biking, horse-riding, kayaking and golfing
Property code: CA305

Start the day with breakfast in the south-facing garden and watch the waves lap at the nearby shore. This property is in an ideal location to head out for a day of adventure in this beautiful part of Arran. With a wide range of walks accessible from Corrie, as well as mountain biking, kayaking, horse riding, or a round on one of Arran's seven golf courses on offer, you'll never run low on things to do. For shops, galleries and restaurants, Brodick is only 4 miles from your door, whilst Lochranza is less than 10 miles away and home to the Isle of Arran distillery.

Beneath the white-washed walls of the apartment, a cosy and calm interior provides a space to sit back and watch the waves from this charming one-level accommodation. The kitchen/dining room is an inviting space to gather and cook together before sitting down to family meals around the table. Follow this up with a board game or a DVD whilst curled up on the comfy leather sofas in the lounge: throw open the doors to the garden for a cool breeze in summer months. Four cheerfully decorated bedrooms await at bedtime: the master double has an en-suite shower room, while the other double bedroom boasts an en-suite with a bath for a well-deserved soak. The two twin rooms share use of the family bathroom.

Head outside into the south-facing garden on sunny evenings to sip aperitifs as the sun starts to drop. The garden is enclosed so your four-legged friends can do their own exploring while you relax. In mornings and evenings, otters are often spotted near the house, so be sure to keep a lookout for them. There's also a large shed available on-site for the storage of bikes and any other sporting equipment you bring.

A fabulous apartment, well equipped if a little remote - if you're an active party then it's a short bike ride to Corrie/Brodick but otherwise you're largely car dependent. As other reviewers have said the broadband isn't particularly good, I found 4g on the phone more reliable. Not having drinkable tap water was an inconvenience, but manageable (iRead moret's amazing how much water you get through!) Hide

A perfect location for uninterrupted sea views however the area for safe walking with a dog or as a family is not ideal. The property was comfortable although not needed there are plenty of room heaters and plenty of hot water.

Superb location with amazing views of the coast and wonderful sunrises. A perfect place to explore the island and relax. We all loved the space inside. Took us a few days to get used to the coloured water. The children loved the rock pools the other side of the road. The dog loved the safe garden and the wide windowsills. Place is big, warm and well appointed. Great for 8 pax. and manager is helpful & communicative. Things to note: 1) the tap water is not really drinkable; it is brown; river water filtered through peat, so you have to buy water from the Co-op 2) the property is off a main road (it is not busy, but is a bus route and you could not leave kids unattendRead moreed) so the property does not access the beach direct 3) the internet signal is poor (we were told, that's Arran. It's not, it's the property) Hide

The cottage is in a superb location, right on the shore with beautiful views. Very close to Brodick and Corrie. A perfect base from which to explore the island. Very spacious with plenty of room for our 7 guests. Our only issue was with the water supply. The agent however, did a very good job of contacting the plumber and kept us informed while the problem was sorted out. Hide

Fantastic location; we had the absolute joy of seeing dolphins, otters, oyster catchers and many other interesting wildlife all from the living room window. Kids absolutely loved it. Yes, there is brown water, just bring bottles from the Co-op. Size of the property was fantastic and a great layout for us. Id have liked more storage, especially in tRead morehe living room and kitchen, but thats a personal preference. More outdoor chairs would also have been welcomed. Hide
