Just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Big Sands beach, you will have access to golden sand, blue waters and magnificent views of the mountains of Skye and Torridon as well as some of the most unforgettable sunsets over the Hebrides. The village of Gairloch is just 6miles away and is perfect for seeking out the day's activities and finding somewhere lovely to dine - from the harbour you can head out on whale watching tours, hop in a glass-bottom boat or a fast rib and explore the open water and the wildlife around. Within the village, you will also be able to find a nine-hole golf course, pony trekking and even a fabulous museum. Alongside all of this, and the fabulous hills and coastal walks around, you will certainly not be short of activities to do throughout your stay.

Sitting in its own private area, this beautiful cottage is great for a small family or couples' getaway and has flexible accommodation to suit all requirements. The living room is accessed separately from the two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom via an outside door; this means that each member of the party can have their own privacy when needed. The living room has large windows on two sides giving you magnificent views out to the countryside beyond, as well as making the space feel lovely and open and bright. Heading out the door to the other side of this property, you will then find a modern kitchen that is well equipped for cooking up a feast, as well as two beautifully finished bedrooms and large bathroom.

The beautiful private garden is fully enclosed and has its own garden furniture so you can enjoy a sunrise breakfast or an evening dining alfresco with the rest of your party.

This is a quirky but comfortable property with reasonable provision and facilities. It is in a lovely location and was perfect for us for a week of exploring the local area. Would I return? Probably yes.

We booked this to celebrate a couple of milestone birthdays. The location was stunning and looking at the view out of the living room windows was unbeatable. Having no WiFi can be jarring for a lot of people but we loved that we had time to read books and watch dvds as a family. Bedrooms were cosy and warm, the quiet was wonderful and we loved justRead more feeling at peace for a whole week. Would definitely come back again. Hide
