This country home is situated in its own private grounds with plenty to explore straight from the doorstep. The surrounding countryside is the perfect place to wander and ramble, discover wild habitats or follow the Dean Water through the rugged Perthshire hills. A mile down the road sits the pleasant village of Meigle, where you'll find a coffee shop and museum. Or head further afield to the outskirts of the Cairngorms National Park (20 miles) for some beautiful walks.

Inside the property, you'll find plenty to inspire a holiday story or two. The beautiful drawing room with its open fire, antique piano, and bay windows, the formal dining room set for a banquet, the reception hall and bar — all are perfectly designed and laid out for a special occasion. For quieter times, a writing room and additional sitting room with views overlooking the grounds are close by. The kitchen is a chef's dream, complete with AGA and pantry. The bedrooms are all arranged in suites with their own names, there are 10 rooms/suites in total. All of the bedrooms have been lovingly decorated, with beautiful period features and special touches.

The outside area of this house is just as magnificent as the interior, with a formal garden, landscaped lawns, a woodland area, and even a 200 year-old elm tree to sit under with a book on sunny days.

We have just returned from a wonderful Christmas week with our family of 20. We gather every two years and Drumkilbo is definitely the best property we've stayed in. Absolutely stunning home. It was such a treat to stay here for the week. It has all that you need, and more. Wonderful place to stay with beautiful surroundings. Kim was also fantastic. She made as feel very welcome and was so helpful!

What a beautiful house, we felt privileged to be able to stay in it. Warm and cosy and well equipped. We had to call out Douglas a couple of times due to minor issues and he was there almost before I put the phone down. This house was fantastic for our big family during a stay over Christmas. The owners were very accommodating and the house was set up perfectly. Every room was comfortable and heated well.
