Set on the banks of the Shee Water and in 1.5 acres of delightful grounds, fishing and nature enthusiasts will feel right at home when staying at this stunning property. The village of Braemar can be found nearby and is surrounded with spectacular mountain scenery as well as being home to some lovely boutique and independent shops as well as an array of places to eat out. Known as one of Scotland's most beautiful and vibrant places to visit, Pitlochry is also just a short drive away and is a great place for participating in activities such as golf, water sports and a spot of cycling.

The striking and attractive exterior of this property will immediately catch your eye as soon as you arrive, not least because of the beautiful hillside backdrop right behind it. On the ground floor, you will find a delightful sitting room with open fire and with a bay window that looks out onto Shee Water, as well as a dining room with decorative fireplace, and a beautiful country kitchen/diner that has been finished with contemporary touches. The study/TV room also has a sofa bed, allowing two extra guests to stay, and the addition of both a rear porch/boot room and utility/drying room means that it is easy to clean up and dry off after a day exploring the countryside. Upstairs, the master bedroom has more fabulous views out of its characterful bay window, as well as a super king-size bed. On this floor, you will also find a further double bedroom with its own Victorian fireplace, two twin bedrooms and two well-equipped bathrooms.

The private garden outside is the perfect spot to take in all of the nature and wildlife that live right on the doorstep – if you're lucky you may even catch sight of some red deer or a golden eagle from this spot!

We were lucky with the weather, but if Corrydon Lodge is available, book it. We had the most amazing week. The photos do not do the location justice and I would thoroughly recommend booking to anyone. We need to find ourselves another slot!

What a wonderful find. The house feels steeped in history, like it's holding countless untold stories within its walls and echoing with the lives of those who once inhabited it. We never felt it was a holiday cottage, we felt it was a home. Just magical. It is spacious. Ideal for a large group. Clearly a loved holiday home and an old house...well appointed kitchen, plentiful logs, and a great sitting room to lounge in with the fire burning. As an old house this has character but also quirks and needs to be treated with respect. We loved our winter stay and spent much time climbing the numerous local Munros.

Amazing cottage. We stayed over Christmas and we were all delighted with the decorations and tree. Everything you needed was provided. Despite it being cold outside, the house was warm and cosy. This house was satisfactory for a family holiday although it is requiring a lot of attention internally and externally and is located on a very busy road. This house is over 30min drive from Blairgowrie so no local services so be prepared The scenery is stunning as always for Scotland.

Spacious beautiful house with wonderful views which feels genuine and peaceful. Thick walls which make for excellent soundproofing. Especially good if you place the children in a different wing of the house- we had adults in the west wing and children in the east! Great holiday for all!!
