Visit the striking Drake Stone, an impressive sandstone rock steeped in local legend and said to have special healing powers, or take a day trip to the magnificent Alnwick Castle and Gardens, known for their historic beauty and world-renowned attractions. Further afield, explore the beautiful Kielder Forest, the heritage coastline, and the historic Holy Island.
Inside, the cottage is warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside. The spacious lounge offers a cosy spot to relax, with comfortable sofas arranged around a wood-burning stove and a Smart TV. The stylish country kitchen also features a wood burner, duck-egg blue cabinetry, slate worktops, and a dining area with seating for everyone. It is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, washer-dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and everything needed for a relaxing stay. Also on the ground floor is a handy bathroom with a shower over the bath. Upstairs, there are three inviting bedrooms — a king-size, a double, and a twin — each thoughtfully furnished and enjoying lovely countryside views. The first floor also includes an additional modern shower room with shower and WC, as well as a separate WC.
At the front of the cottage, there is a small seating area, perfect for a morning coffee or simply watching the world go by. To the rear, the neighbouring village pub has a recently refurbished beer garden with outdoor seating and a pizzeria, offering a great option for a relaxed meal or drink nearby. A small village shop is also within walking distance, selling fresh local produce and everyday essentials.
