Set just a hundred metres from the stunning Jurassic Coast, this fabulous property has fantastic sea views and makes a wonderful holiday home for a family looking to explore the Dorset countryside.

This lovely property is ideally situated for exploring the Jurassic Coast, with Durdle Door (5 miles by foot), Lulworth Cove (5.5 miles) and the site of the Jordan Hill Roman Temple (4 miles) all within easy reach. The popular seaside town of Weymouth (a 7-mile drive) offers beautiful beaches, a crescent bay and attractions including the Jurassic Skyline and Sandworld. From Weymouth, you can head south to explore the unique Isle of Portland (13.5 miles). Heading inland you could visit Lulworth Castle (13 miles) or the bustling market town of Dorchester (8.5 miles), famous for its links to Thomas Hardy. You can visit Hardy’s home in Dorchester, Max Gate, or his birthplace in Higher Bockhampton (10 miles)

On entering this light and spacious property, which is situated towards the end of a short lane, you will find the charming lounge/diner. This pretty and light-filled triple-aspect room is an ideal space to relax in, with plenty of seating, TV/DVD, an open fire and sea views. Patio doors lead down three steps and out onto the terrace. The large dining area is perfect for enjoying a family meal. The kitchen is equipped with a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and breakfast table. The washing machine can be found in the utility room. Exploring the ground floor further there’s a twin bedroom with sea views and a feature fireplace. There is also a ground-floor shower room with WC. Going upstairs, you will find four further bedrooms, all with original floorboards. There’s a double room with a 5’ double bed and a triple bedroom with three single beds; both of these rooms are dual aspect with sea views and a feature fireplace. There’s also a twin room and a single room. The bathroom features a bath, separate shower and WC. Adjoining the kitchen there is a covered yard which is ideal for hanging up outdoor clothes and for those muddy boots.

Stepping outside, the largely laid to lawn garden stretches for three-quarters of an acre around the house. You can enjoy a peaceful drink or a BBQ in the delightful furnished raised terrace, and there’s plenty of space for children to run about. The garden is bounded by trees and shrubs, with a gate leading out onto the coastal path and down to the beach. The beach can be accessed via a steep path though there is easier ramp access close by. Parking is available on the mown grass verge.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful. The local cafe is great and very friendly. Dog friendly too! The house is comfortable and plenty of outdoor space. The beach is very close but not very easy to get to for anyone who is frail or has a walking disability. I feel the property could do with a general deep clean though. Superb location and proximity to an almost empty beach in peaceful Ringstead. Huge house with everything you need and a great dining/living room with views of the sea leading on to a patio with seating area for food and tea outside. The house has all the basic facilities you need. Osmington pub is a beautiful cliff side 25 minute walk. Other placesRead more to explore on foot include local woods in the direction of Upton and White Nothe cliff walk. So much more to explore in Dorset. Didn't want to leave! Hide
