Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with direct access to The Shepherds Trail, this property offers spectacular views along the South Coast countryside and towards the white cliffs of Freshwater Bay. There are many popular attractions to be found locally, including The Needles, Alum Bay, Blackgang Chine and Calbourne Water Mill. For lovers of history a visit to Queen Victoria’s residence Osborne House is a must. With many wonderful walking and cycling routes, there is plenty to do for those wanting to get active. Why not explore the island on an open top bus or visit one of the many quaint villages including Brighstone and Godshill? A flight of external steps brings you to the main entrance into this attached property.

Once inside you are met with a light and bright open-plan kitchen/diner that overlooks the garden and with space for all the family, this is the perfect spot for leisurely meals. At the end of the hallway is the lounge, which has a wood burner, games console/DVD player and TV so you can relax in comfort after a busy day exploring. Stairs rise from the lounge to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms. Here you will find a king-size and a twin zip-and-link (which can be arranged as a super-king-size on request). The bedrooms share the bathroom with WC. There are changes of level and restricted head height in some areas of the property, which only adds to its character and charm.

Heading out into the garden from the dining area brings you into a fully enclosed garden, mainly laid to lawn with a patio area and furniture, perfect for enjoying the afternoon and evening sunshine. To the front of the property is a parking area suitable for three cars.

Rose cottage is in a beautiful setting. With many thoughtful touches. The garden is completely secure and leads straight onto the Shepherds Trail. The Crown pub is a short drive away, serving delicious food. This is the second time we have been with family and 2 dogs and hope to return.

The cottage is very welcoming and peaceful after a day of exploring the island. The amenities are good, the beds very comfortable and the garden excellent for the dog. We would recommend it without hesitation and the owner is very helpful and always response to text messages. An added bonus for us is the EV charger next to the parking area.
