A lovely cottage in a quiet area with lots of links to the Yorkshire Dales and Teeside. The owner was there to greet us and was very helpful and informative. The cottage was fantastic - well-equipped and very comfortable. Luxury having a bathroom for each bedroom; this was very useful, no queues! The location was great - walks from the front door, yet also easy to travel elsewhere to explore countryside or towns nearby. The owners, Lionel and Alison, were very welcoming and helpful. Really nice cottage with three large bedrooms on the same level as the parking area so no humping cases upstairs & all with their own bathrooms which is a real bonus. The village is very quiet but close by is Bedale if you prefer a choice of eateries and a few pubs. It's the dales so there's always plenty of what you're there for ,we went as far asRead more malham cove (90 mins) but there is plenty within 30 mins , we ate in quite a lot but can definitely recommend the millbank arms in Well. Beautiful Cottage, was vey clean and well equipped in a beautiful location. Very peaceful but convenient to drive or walk into Bedale town. Well positioned for lovely walks and sightseeing. Both Nigel and Alison were lovely, most welcoming hosts with nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend in fact already done so.

Wow!! What a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing holiday. Even with a thunderstorm we relaxed in the lounge and looked through the french doors at the trees and the rain. It was mesmerising. In my 73 years of holidays I have never been so relaxed. Thank you Alison and Lionel for the loan of your beautiful cottage. Hopefully we will be back.
