Wonderful location. The garden and its little rooms are beautiful. Standing outside late ar night listening to the night birds and sheep is wonderful but it still manages a great sense of peace. Brilliant place.

Another lovely stay with perfect weather, a bit disappointed as the house looks a bit tired with some updates needed, but we love coming here and have booked again.

The Hall (not really a cottage?) was amazing for 3 couples. Great quiet location, excellent facilities, fab walks from the front door and 2 pubs close by (one is like stepping back in time)

This is our 2nd time this year to rent this cottage. We love it so much! The beautiful remote location and the cottage are perfect! We love being able to do walks right from the door! Also, enjoyed watching so many pheasants, partridge, deer, and rabbits from the windows and having breakfast in the little kitchen garden. The nearby little communityRead more owned pub, Foresters Arms in Carlton, is lovely. We have no complaints and hope to be able to rent this cottage again in the future! Hide

Beautiful place. Relaxed & comfortable stay. The Hall is very well equipped & spotlessly clean. Lots to do & see locally. Great place for families or a group of friends. Definitely recommend.

This was our 7th year at the hall so we almost feel like locals now! Our home from home. Everything at its best. The garden is beautiful, with exceptional views and the hall is warm and cosy. We love it!

Had a good week at Hindlethwaite. Good walking, some from the front door, and very quiet. No local shops/restaurants and one irregular pub. The property is well heated. Kitchen has just AGA (set too cool) and microwave, otherwise well equipped. Furniture is comfortable enough, general maintenance ok. Bathrooms are modern. Exposed beams and stoneworRead morek require more diligent cleaning else it becomes more barn than hall, generally it felt a bit short on finish/cleanliness for the apparent class. Hide
