Thornham is a pretty coastal village which offers guests an idyllic taste of relaxed seaside life. In fact, for those looking for a quiet break away, there is little need to leave the village, as it has its own sandy beach which can be accessed from the property via a footpath. Just a few hundred metres from the house there is a well-stocked farm shop, and deli next to which there is fish and chips restaurant, pizzeria, fish shop, children's shop and a homewares shop. A short distance further into the village, guests will find several pubs and a handy village shop. For those who do wish to explore a little more of the local area, the popular resort of Hunstanton is just 5-miles around the coast, whilst the National Trust estate at Brancaster is located within a 10-minute drive.

From the driveway area, guests enter this property through the kitchen/diner, which has been attractively finished with a central island and an excellent range of equipment including a Range-style oven, hob, microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer are kept in the utility room alongside a WC. At one end of the room, next to the bay window which overlooks the garden, there is a large dining table which comfortable seats twelve and is ideal for enjoying celebratory meals together. Across the hallway from the kitchen/diner there are two lounges, one which has been set up as a formal sitting room and the other a more relaxed family room. The more formal lounge is an excellent space in which to simply enjoy spending time together and has an elegant bay window as well as a marble fireplace and a TV which can be enjoyed from the plush sofas. The second lounge, meanwhile, is a sunny dual-aspect room with a TV, Blu-ray player, iPod dock and an Xbox 360 games console. Stairs lead from a central hallway lead up to the first floor where four of the property’s six bedrooms are situated. The first of these is the stylish master bedroom with its super king-size sleigh bed, antique dressing table, and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. The second bedroom is a bright double room, whilst the remaining two rooms are both twins. The main bathroom on this floor has a shower-over-bath and WC. A second set of stairs from the landing leads up to the second-floor accommodation where there are two additional bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC. The first bedroom on this floor is a king-size room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with a WC. The other bedroom on this floor, meanwhile, is a restful bunk bedroom. Guests should be aware that the second-floor rooms are situated in an attic conversion and therefore have sloping ceilings and some reduced head-height.

To the rear of the house there is an attractive garden with large trees providing shade on the lawn and the patio seating area for which there is garden furniture and a BBQ provided. This tranquil spot is a delightful to sit out and enjoy relaxed leisure time, with plenty of space for children to play, perhaps whilst the adults unwind over alfresco drinks. For guests travelling with dogs, there is a kennel and dog run which we ask guests to use if the dogs are to be left alone at any point. To the front of the house, there is driveway parking for four cars.

A perfect house for our group with children of all ages and a dog. We loved the enclosed garden, the choice of living spaces and the short walk to really lovely coastline, shops, cafes and pubs!

Wonderful place to stay. The House was so clean and the bed linen was of excellent quality as were the bath towels, large and fluffy! The kitchen was extremely well equipped and a delight to prepare meals in. We had a lovely stay and thought the house was the best we had stayed in. We caught the coast hopper bus from Droves Orchard which is a few sRead moreteps away and spent time in Wells before heading for dinner in Thornham. We were very impressed with the cottage it was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Its location is great, and we loved the walk direct to the beach and the closeness of Drove farm shop. We were there with children and grandchildren and we will definitely return to Holmhurst.

Excellent location with great parking and easy walking to the wonderful North Norfolk coastal paths. Well design comfortable spacious accomadation offering a varied age group 2 to 63 and great experience. The 2 lounges mean that different activities can go on at same time. Overall this is a beautiful property in a fantastic location. There was plenty of space for our group of 11. The bedrooms are large and the beds were very comfy. It is located in a beautiful area and we would certainly recommend the property. Holmhurst is a wonderful place for a family holiday with or without dogs. Very comfy and spacious with a large enclosed garden. Well equipped and well located for pubs, beaches, walks and small specialist shops. All within easy reach. Very quiet and tranquil. A must for city folk to unwind.

This was a very lovely house, with comfortable furniture and very clean beddingg and towels. The garden was lovely and it was even warm enough for us to sit out in the evening. The location is perfect, a ten minute lovely walk to the sea, the local farmshop, deli's and eating pleaces, as well as the two local pubs wee great.
