Set in an elevated position with views across to the iconic Bamburgh Castle, Bamburgh View is a beautifully presented lodge just a short distance from the coast. Surrounded by open skies and lovely natural scenery, it offers a relaxed and comfortable base for exploring Northumberland. Sandy beaches, historic landmarks, and a wealth of walking and cycling routes are all close by, making it a fantastic choice for both adventure and relaxation. The nearby seaside village of Bamburgh is ideal for a beach picnic, a gentle stroll along the shore, or a visit to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle — clearly visible from the lodge itself. You’re also within easy reach of Alnwick Castle (famously featured in the Harry Potter films) and the charming town of Alnwick, with its beautiful gardens and independent shops. For lovers of the outdoors, the Cheviot Hills, Glendale, and Northumberland National Park are all on your doorstep, offering endless opportunities for walking, hiking, and cycling. You can also explore Holy Island via the tidal causeway, enjoy a boat trip, or try some of the region’s best sea fishing and birdwatching. After dark, Northumberland’s renowned dark skies provide spectacular stargazing on clear nights.

Inside, the lodge is bright and welcoming, with a spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors fill the space with natural light, while the lounge offers a cosy place to unwind with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and a traditional wood burner — perfect after a day of exploring. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, and dishwasher, while the dining area is ideal for relaxed meals or planning your next adventure. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, iron, and ironing board. The accommodation is flexible and thoughtfully laid out, with a double bedroom and en-suite shower room accessed via the dining area, and a further double and twin bedroom leading off the lounge. A second shower room with WC is also located just off the main living space.

Outside, a private decked area offers a lovely spot to sit with your morning coffee and take in the views. The lodge has private parking for up to three cars right beside the property. Set in a peaceful, exclusive development with only two neighbouring properties, Bamburgh View enjoys one of the best positions on site — slightly elevated for the views and perfectly placed for privacy and calm.

I have stayed in many of the different lodges at Brada Quarry & the location & spec of these lodges are amazing. Not sure how long this lodge had been empty for, or when it was last checked. Unfortunately turning up on a dark December night, the lodge felt exceptionally cold, damp & unwelcoming.
