This semi-detached property is on the west side of the island and if guests fancy a day by the seaside Colwell Bay can be reached within a ten-minute stroll and is complete with opportunities for fishing and boating. Wonderful walking routes in the area offer sea views to admire as guests work their way westward to Alum Bay and The Needles. There’s also plenty to see and explore straight from the doorstep. Freshwater is a ten-minute walk from the property, and has a small supermarket for picking up essentials, plus local pubs and restaurants that are great for those nights you don’t fancy cooking. A scenic walk can be enjoyed from Freshwater too along the River Yar towards Yarmouth. Yarmouth is a picturesque coastal town with a sailing centre, and an array of stylish shops and restaurants.

Enter the cottage through the front door, opening into the welcoming bright lounge area, where you will find two comfortable armchairs and a sofa, a pretty flame-effect coal fire, TV and DVD. The delightful dining area has a table perfect for sharing meals together, whilst the light and airy kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, both of which are spacious and flooded with light. Both rooms feature a TV/DVD, the first of which features a super-king-size bed and views across towards Tennyson Down, whilst the second room has twin beds and a window overlooking the pretty garden. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, a heated towel rail and WC.

Outside there is a secluded, fenced garden, where you can relax and dine alfresco on the patio using the garden furniture. There are five steps up to the lawn area, but please be advised that there is no fence separating the grass and concrete spaces, so children must be closely supervised in when playing in the garden. There is space for one car under the car port, plus room for one additional car on the drive.

Very peaceful and quiet location, very comfortable and well stocked with all you need to cook with. Very well maintained and kept spick and span, by the owners and house keeping team

Apple House was the perfect place to stay for a lovely family holiday. It was cleaned to an extremely high standard and is clearly well looked after as well as well equipped. Also in a very quiet location but with easy access when travelling to different places in the car. There are two bays within easy walking distance, plus a playpark & shops. FoRead morer a bigger food shop there is a Tesco which is just a few minutes away in the car. We were rather sad to be leaving & would love to return one day! Hide

Apple House is a really welcoming, incredibly clean, homely cottage well situated for enjoying the western, quieter part of the island. We appreciated being able to leave the car behind most days as it took just minutes to walk to the two nearest beaches, many other longer walks were also easily accessed and the islands bus service was excellent foRead morer exploring further afield. Over the years we have stayed in many holiday homes and we can honestly say that Apple House was the cleanest and best equipped we have ever stayed in. The beach at Colwell bay is within easy walking distance as is the town of Freshwater. We will definitely return to Apple house as it is a real home from home.

We had a very nice stay here. It is a great quiet location with lots of nice walks nearby. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, very well stocked with everything you needed to enjoy your stay. It was warm as the weather was chilly at Easter and spacious to relax in. We would recommend this cottage for a relaxing comfortable stay in the Isle Read moreof White. Hide

Beautifully presented and maintained, an ideal stay for anyone looking to explore the wonderful IoW and have a home from home to rest their head at the end of a busy day. Everything has been thought of, you really couldn't want for more, with a lovely little garden space to relax in if the sun shines. I cannot recommend Apple House highly enough!

A very comfortable house with absolutely everything you could need. The owners really have thought of everything. Great location in a very quiet road with shops within walking distance, not far from the beach and the Needles. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay again.
