Had a wonderful New Year at Bench cottage. Gorgeous place to stay and lots of places to eat within walking distance so didn't cook once. Very homely feel, felt at home and had a great time. The ponies came right up to the fence which the kids loved.

This is a lovely, characterful and comfortable cottage in a great location. Great for a family or friends get together and for people who love to go for a walk straight from the door! We loved waking up to see ponies grazing in front of the house! The property is well set up for muddy walking boots and a dog with a downstairs utility room and showeRead morer room. Also very well set up and comfortable living rooms and bedrooms. Overall highly recommended. Hide

We had such a relaxing time. Beautiful location with ponies and cows right outside our front door. Beds were super comfy . Plenty of pillows and towels too. Also, we were interested in reading about the history of the cottage.

A truly picturesque cottage in a fabulous location. Looks out over a pond to an oak tree and ponies and donkeys often wander past, It felt very tranquil yet it's only a five minute walk into Lyndhurst with plenty of shops and restaurants. The Greenwood Tree was our favourite cafe and great for anyone with dietary needs. The cottage is large and verRead morey comfortable and well equipped. Great location , close to Lyndhurst 5 min walk . Not suitable for young children or people who are infirm or mobility issues due to narrow steep staircase with small treads on corners . Plenty of space downstairs .

Perfectly-located, larger than expected characterful cottage on the outskirts of the village. Great holiday & the accommodation did what it said on the tin. Plenty of books, chairs and nooks & crannies. Would definitely recommend.
