Set in the heart of the charming Kent village of Goudhurst, this property is within walking distance of the local shops and 3 pubs all with restaurants. Just a short drive away is the famous Sissinghurst Castle Garden created by poet and writer Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson. Scotney Castle is also very close by and the perfect place to enjoy walks and cream teas. Beyond the village, Tunbridge Wells is well worth a visit with its selection of independent shops and cafes in the Pantiles area, while the nearby vineyards such as Sedlescombe make for a great day out. Keen walkers can explore the multitude of local footpaths nearby and for those looking to venture slightly further afield the fantastic Kent and East Sussex coastline is within driving distance. For those seeking some action and adventure, Bedgebury Forest is the perfect place to cycle or tackle the Go Ape assault course and Bewl Water offers plenty of water-based activities.

A wooden door brings you into a small private courtyard area and to the front door of this charming cottage. Beautifully decorated throughout, the vaulted ceiling and original beams create a striking view upon entering. The open-plan sitting room/kitchen/dining room greets you with its light and airy interior and this is a great place to relax on the comfortable sofa whilst watching films on the smart TV. The dining area has a dining table and six chairs which makes for a delightful place to enjoy family meals which have been conjured up in the bespoke, well-equipped traditional cottage kitchen area. This spacious kitchen boasts an electric Aga, dishwasher, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine and is well-equipped with everything you need. There is a ground floor shower room with shower and WC. Stairs from the kitchen area lead up to the snug where there is a comfy sofa and chair, the perfect place to retreat to after a long day. From here a couple of steps lead up to the bunk bedroom which is ideal for children, there’s a separate WC and hand basin next to it and then a further set of steps lead up to the double bedroom with wonderful views over the rear garden.

The outside space offers a unique arrangement of additional buildings, the first is a wonderful summer house with a sofa bed (which can sleep a further 2 people) and en-suite shower room with WC. The second is the laundry room with a washing machine, separate freezer and large trough-style sink, it's the ideal space for storing bicycles or washing and drying off your four-legged friend. The rewilded organic garden which wraps around the cottage offers a quiet sanctuary to get close to nature and enjoy the abundance of wildlife, at night-time you might be lucky to spot a fostered hedgehog foraging for food. The courtyard area offers four chairs and a patio table for enjoying a morning coffee and al fresco dining. There is private off-road parking available at the property for one car, access is very narrow so if you prefer there is a free village car park just a short walk away accessible from the rear of the property.
