Enjoying an enviable location, a short distance from the traditional village of Blakeney, well served with a village store and selection of country pubs. The forest is at its best in autumn with The Golden Mile where the whole area is a riot of golds and russet. For family fun other attractions include, Dean Heritage Centre, Puzzle Woods and Clearwell Caves, Go ape, the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre and Cyril Hart Arboretum.

Take in the views across the valley before you leave your boots at the front door, the inviting hallway offers ample space for coats and shoes with access to the lounge/kitchen/diner. Fantastic place for a getaway. Ideal for a quiet remote weekend. You will need a car without a doubt. Beautiful views across the open countryside to the Severn. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped. Good value for money and cosy inside.

Lovely location although near a main road once in the cottage you wouldnt know, but it wasnt that bad outside as you are a good way of the road. The cottage was nice and warm and had everything we needed for our stay, it says Valley Views but there are no views from cottage 2 due to the mobile home site being built adjoining the property. Easy to kRead moreeep clean as there are no carpets apart from the bedrooms so a quick mop was all it needed each day. Would stay again if we were in the area Hide

The cottage just above Blakeney village allows easy access to Forest of Dean attractions, and charming Ross-on-Wye, as well as a quick run into Gloucester (if you really miss the city) . The facilities are more than adequate and the cottage was clean when we arrived. A great stay.
