The cottage was gorgeous, clean and very cosy and comfortable. Fully equipped with all youll need for a break away. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It is a beautiful little cottage in a stunning setting with amazing views. Very peaceful and fantastic walks from the cottage. It was a bit snug with two adults and a big dog, but we managed. There were a few basic cooking items missing for self catering which would have been helpful as it is a bit of a drive if you want to eat locally. We had a great time staying at Dove Valley Cottage. central location and perfect for walks with our two dogs. We had a great meal at the Devonshire Arms our first night just in Hartington, which is a 5 min drive away from the cottage, and dog friendly. Cottage was warm and cosy despite it being -2 one night! Was clean enough, but a few cobwebs and Read moredust in some places. We went to Chatsworth and the Dovedale stepping stones which were both about 30 mins away. Thank you for a lovely long weekend!! Dove Valley Cottage was nice and remote for us and our pooch. The cottage itself is cozy in the winter with central heating. Kitchen is well equipped (no condiments are provided, so be sure to pack your own). Beds are comfy and bathroom is clean with a flush toilet (be sure to bring your own toilet paper). The wifi can be intermittent, but there waRead mores decent phone signal. Outside areas are enclosed, safe for medium/large sized dogs to wander around. Hide

The cottage is tucked away about half an hours walk from Hartington, although it is near a shepherds hut and the owner's farm it is really quiet and peaceful. Everything you need for self catering is provided and all the beds are really comfy. Beautiful walks on your doorstep.

Cruck Cottage ticks all the right boxes for location. Isolated, stunning setting. Lovely terrace / courtyard in which to enjoy breakfast or evening sundowner. Perfect for a couple - possibly a bit too small for 4 adults.

The most beautuful setting to relax and enjoy the countryside and peace & quiet. The cottage was lovely and cosy with comfy beds and everything you need for a short break. The walks from the doorstep were perfect so no need to use the car, however Hartington was a lovely village for a trip out. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous little cottage , beautiful area , was so peaceful, stunning views from the back garden, plenty of room for two people, could be a bit tight for four , our only gripe was that the dustbin was totally full when we arrived, so we struggled to get our rubbish in at the end of the week . Perfect place to sit and watch a sunset .
