Exploring on foot or by pedal there are some great options nearby, jump on your bike and set off on one of the nearby cycle routes which will take you to the coast or up and over Dartmoor. Alternatively, enjoy one of the peaceful walks nearby where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst walking around Dartmoor National Park. A must visit during your stay, is to the historic landmark of Haytor, where the first mention of the tor was in 1566. The market town of Ashburnton is within easy reach of the property and boasts an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and family activities. Fancy a trip to the beach? Take a drive towards the coast and discover the pretty South Hams, an area of exceptional beauty and contrasts with fabulous beaches, river estuaries, rolling hills and thatched cottages surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and Ivybridge.

This delightful property adjoins the owners home, however privacy is assured. On entering, leading off the hallway to your left is the spacious lounge area with TV/DVD and electric fire, a relaxing space for you to sit back and enjoy a movie in front of the fire after a long day of exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty nearby. Leading off the lounge is the open-plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen offers an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. To the rear of the kitchen is the utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Ahead of you in the entrance hall is the downstairs twin bedroom and shower room with WC. Heading upstairs is the master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with WC.

Outside the property, guests can enjoy the enclosed garden which wraps around the side of the property, boasting garden furniture and BBQ. The garden backs onto the owners' smallholding where you can accompany the owner in the mornings and collect fresh eggs or little ones can enjoy feeding the geese, chickens and ducks with the owner if they wish. To the front of the property there is ample allocated off-road parking.

I loved Little Broadhams! Clean, well equipped with comfortable furniture and very comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly owner, nothing too much trouble and never intrusive. Situated in a quiet country lane with hardly any traffic, dark night skies to see moon and stars and no noise to spoil the birdsong. Clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a peaceful location. Friendly, helpful host who, although living next door, was never intrusive. There were many "extras" in the cottage including a useful welcome package of first night essentials and a coffee maker. Plenty of information for places to see and tested local restaurants. This was the perfect getaway. A beautiful cottage with such friendly and helpful people not just the owner of the property but people within the hamlet. If you want tranquility this is the place to be. The only sounds are the hens and ducks at the bottom of the garden which made it perfect for us. This was our 5th stay at Little Broadhams . It is a gem of a place to stay . The owners have thought of everything you may need and nothing is too much trouble. It is in a nice peaceful location but within easy reach to beaches and Dartmoor National park . Would definitely recommend .

Spotlessly clean, well supplied with all items needed washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing and cleaning items. A lovely welcome basket was left by the owners to start your holiday of milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, bread, butter, and some homemade jam which was delicious. well what can we say no light pollution, nice and quiet, well central to north and south Devon, Cornwall an hour away, lovely place to take your dog (dogs) as lane next to cottage goes around the village, the cottage its self well stock with all you need for a well earned week break. clean and tidy a home from home.

A lovely, quiet cottage set in an excellent rural area. Very handy for many amenities and walks. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and we will not hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cottage in a rural location, perfect if you want a bit of peace and quiet. Cottage was warm and cosy. Well stocked with all kitchen essentials. Garden was completely secure for the dogs. Loved the chicken run at the end of the garden. Sarah made us very welcome.

We had the most relaxed week here at Little Broadhams. The cottage has everything you could possibly think of to make your stay perfect. It's very well equipped, comfortable and in such beautiful surroundings. The little nook at the top of the stairs was one of my favourite spaces to sit and read,or just relax looking out to the fields.
