This one-bedroomed ground-floor apartment is situated in the hamlet of Knipe Fold; a collection of houses close to the beautiful Tarn Hows. There are accessible walks in the area, and the National Trust even offers hire of Tramper mobility scooters, so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the local landscape. The village of Hawkshead, with its shops, pubs, and interesting historic buildings, is just 1.5 miles from the apartment, and makes a lovely place to while away an afternoon.

This apartment is situated on the ground floor of the owner’s home, whilst still providing guest with a high level of privacy. Guests enter the property via the porch which makes a handy place to leave muddy boots before continuing inside to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its lovely countryside views. A sofa and armchair provide comfortable seating here, gathered around the electric coal-effect fire and TV. The dining table seating two, is ideal for enjoying a romantic meal, whilst the kitchen to the rear of the room, is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge. The simply decorated, peaceful bedroom with twin beds whilst the adjacent bathroom offers shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is a beautiful garden, mainly set to lawn, which expansive views to the surrounding countryside.

The cottage is in a tranquil location with lovely views across sloping fields. Lots of good walks straight from the door with Little Langdale, Coniston and Ambleside within easy driving distance. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. We particularly liked the little patio where we sat out in sunny evening weather enjoying the garden,Read more the lambs playing in the fields and the house martins wheeling overhead. Smaller than it looks in the photos and part of a house (ground floor). Lovely maintained garden and great location for hikes. Dont have too many expectations and it will just be perfect for a couple of nights.

It's a wonderful location with amazing views from the hillside garden, so peaceful! We really enjoyed our weekend here. It's fine for a short stay if you need a base for walks or visiting Coniston or Windermere, we loved Tarn Hows and walked there from the property. Very peaceful here. The furniture is dated and it's looking a bit tired, it's not lRead moreuxury accommodation but fine if you are taking a pet. It was also a chilly weekend but it was warm and cosy. This is a functional, cozy, warm property with a lovely spot to enjoy a cup of tea with an amazing view. The nice owner lives above and respects your privacy and I didn't hear him walking about. The property is definitely rural and I would highly recommend giving yourself plenty of time for the initial arrival before it gets dark. Lovely location, walks straight from the door. Property does require damp sorting out and upgrading which is probably why its only two stars. The garden is lovely but looks bigger in the pictures and is not dog safe so you need to keep on a lead at all times. If you take your dog expect to be out by 9 am- which is too early, its for extra cleaning?Read more Wouldnt return here and wouldnt recommend to friends. Its two stars for a reason which is a shame as It could be fabulous. Hide

This was a perfect place for us and our dog. We hardly used the car as there was so much to visit locally and buses are fantastic. Even though the weather was poor we still had an amazing time in this location and will definitely be visiting again.
