To one end of this room, there is a dining table and chairs and a door which leads out onto the property’s rear garden. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, as well as an extra dining table, which makes a great place for breakfast. The first of these is a lovely light and airy twin room, which can be made up as a king-size on request. The second room is a double, whilst the third is a cosy single room. Outside, the property enjoys a large enclosed garden which is mainly set to lawn and offers plenty of quiet space for guests to relax in, and for children to play games. Lovely cottage with gorgeous sunny garden in a great peaceful location. Walk to Wray, Hawkshead, to the lake and to Ambleside right out the front door. Recommend Nomad pizzas at Low Wray Campsite!

Had an enjoyable week in Manor House Cottage, High Wray. Ideal area for burning off the energy of our English springer spaniel, despite quite a bit of forestry tree felling going on. One suggestion would be to make the far end of the garden more secure for dogs with some fence wire. Spaniels are always looking for ways to "escape"!!

The cottage is homely, clean, but a little tired. We felt there was not enough comfy seating for evening lounging, certainly not enough for 5 adults. The kitchen is well equipped. We stayed here for four nights over Christmas. The cottage is quite small but very cosy, especially with the fabulous log fire. It is down a windy lane but easy to find. We only saw one car go past the cottage during the whole time we were there!
