A wonderful, cosy flat with an excellent outlook over quiet country. Birds galore and a decent path behind the property to Tarn Hows. We absolutely loved it.

The cottage (flat) was perfect for a restful, quiet week, and very comfortable. As the weather was sunny and warm we sat on the balcony several times, basking in the sunshine, even needing the sunshade despite it being early April. The welcome basket, with milk in the fridge, was very much appreciated, and we found the drawer of leaflets about the Read morelocal area very useful. It was very easy to get to Hawkshead, also into Coniston, from the cottage, and of course to walk directly to Tarn Hows. Hide

As someone who uses holiday rentals to visit the Lakes at least twice a year I have a fair idea of whats good and whats not. This is excellent, especially in relation to value for money, cleanliness and equipment. Its clear that a lot of time and thought have gone into making this a really well maintained, comfortable and restful place to stay.
