The location of the house is excellent. The area was also very peaceful. I had thought parking might be a problem but this was not the case. Kelso also has good electric chargers if you need one. There are good places to go locally for the history, gardens and walking. Floors castle is worth a visit with your ticket lasting all week. We were unableRead more to fit everything in. The Kelso Civic week was also on and the events were worth taking part in. Pipe bands, horse riding, fireworks were all free. Hide

The photos do not do the cottage justice- it is beautiful and far nicer than it appeared in the pictures. The beds were SO comfortable!- it was hard to leave them. WRead moree really had a wonderful stay and will be back again. We highly recommend this cottage! Book it immediately- you will not be disappointed. Hide

Kelso the town is lovely. Blissfully short of chain retailers in the town centre. Local retailers well in evidence. Eating out is easily organised and I would recommend that if you stay at Otters Cottage. The kitchen just didn't work for me, personally. The cottage is comfortable, in a quiet square with no real views but nothing in sight to offend Read morethe eye, and the area is close enough to being "God's Country" for my liking. Book, stay, enjoy! Hide

Excellent location to tour round the borders. Kelso is such a lovely town and the scenery is beautiful especially floors castle. Walking along the river tweed with the dogs was delightful.
