Burnsall, Kettlewell and Grassington are just some of the picturesque villages where days can be spent enjoying each and every one of their unique attractions or simply browsing around the local shops.  If you prefer a quiet time you won't find a more ideal picnic spot than beautiful Bolton Abbey.  Travelling just 20 minutes down the dale you'll come to the market town of Skipton with regular events held at the mediaeval castle, plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from, supermarkets, swimming pool, cinema and of course the open-air market which takes place four days a week. After a day out what could be better than relaxing back at your cottage with a drink in the conservatory, catching glimpses of the wildlife.   All in all this is a fantastic spot for a memorable Dales holiday!

A wonderful place to stay and unwind. A great welcome from the host (and dog!) - everything was perfect. Close to dales path and lots of other walks in the area - make sure you stop off at the Brownie Barn for some wonderful treats as you overlook Wharfedale. Both pubs in village are good, excellent selection of beer and food, but watch out for early closing during week and you may need to book. Will definitely be back for another visit.
