Situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Britain, this 200 year old fully renovated cottage exudes charm and style whilst incorporating many modern comforts.

Cefn Bach is a luxury holiday cottage near Llangollen, perched in a south facing spot overlooking the Ceiriog Valley. Set in its own gardens, this holiday cottage combines spacious open plan living, a wood-burning stove and a private veranda from which to take in the views.

The detached and light filled accommodation includes a sitting room with sofas, chair, flatscreen TV with Freeview, CD/DVD player, a small library and board games for children and adults. The walls are decorated with a selection of local and Welsh artists' work. Free WiFi broadband is available. The large open plan kitchen is fitted with modern units, electric oven and hob, fridge, dining table and chairs for 4 and a log burning stove. A bespoke window seat offers a cosy corner from which to contemplate the rolling hills and big Welsh sky. A separate utility area is equipped with a microwave and washing machine. There are two first floor bedrooms - a double with a vaulted ceiling and a twin room - and a ground floor luxury walk-in shower room. Each bed has a traditional hand woven Welsh blanket from a local woollen mill. The barn is well insulated and has central heating and plentiful hot water on demand.

Outside, guests can enjoy a covered games area with table tennis, table football and darts. There is a separate store with a freezer, secure bike storage and an outside sink ideal for muddy boots and washing down bikes. Free range eggs are available from the owners' chickens and there is a local organic community garden scheme at the village; guests have the option of buying fresh organic vegetables from a seasonal variation of vegetables and salad, priced £15.00 per box for 2 people. Delivery can be organised or guests are welcome to visit the garden to collect it. The ample gardens at Cefn Bach offer views down the spectacular valley, a large decked terrace, a fire pit, a barbecue and a table and chairs. There is plenty of parking for guests. Pony trekking through the hills and woodland can be arranged at a neighbouring stables.

WiFi available at the property but please note that this is 'rural broadband' and is it at times slow or intermittent.

Please note that the property is on the site of an old hill farm. We do sometimes get snow and ice in the winter and in extreme conditions this can mean leaving the car in the village and an adventurous walk up the hill (about 15 mins) to get to the property.

Electricity and heating included. An initial supply of logs is provided.

Bed linen and towels provided.

Travel cot and high chair available.

Strictly no smoking please.
