Description

Mary’s Corner is a ground floor apartment, located in an elevated quiet residential area of Swanage, with views stretching across the bay towards Ballard Down and Swanage Bay. Only a short 2 minute walk to the quaint town of Swanage with its variety of shops, restaurants and cafes and beautiful sandy beaches. The property has been recently renovated to a high standard, and has a spacious, light feel due to the high ceilings and lovely large windows.

Leading from the entrance hall, there is a well equipped kitchen/dining room.  A long hallway leads to the large, comfortable living room, with fantastic views across the bay.  Both bedrooms and the bathroom also lead from the hallway.

Bathroom: bath with shower over the bath, basin and W.C   

Kitchen/diner: electric cooker, washing machine, fridge with ice box, microwave and dishwasher.  Folding dining table with 4 chairs

Lovely property in great location. Well equipped and lovely furnishings. Immaculately clean. Only negatives were- v small kitchen for 4 adults and rickety uncomfortable chairs. VERY light child’s bedroom. Could do with black out blinds as well as the curtains and blinds on the internal “windows”. This was only a problem as we had a 15 month old who is used to sleeping in the dark, May not be a problem for others.

The property was well maintained and furnished to a high standard. However, the sofa was very low and we were unable to sit on it, which wasn’t helped by the fact that the swivel chair was broken. We had to bring in our beach chairs to sit on. In addition to the chair the bathroom blind was broken, the curtain rail in the bedroom had no end stop, so the curtain came off the end of the rail. Also, the kettle kept boiling over. However, when I reported these problems they were fixed immediately. I don’t think the property should be advertised as have a place to sit at the back. It is basically a car park, where you are surrounded by cars, meters, washing lines and also scaffolding. On arrival, the scaffolding did not give a very good impression! I’m not sure why it’s still there, as there doesn’t appear to be any work going on,
