Vin da Looe is a recently refurbished apartment with a fantastic covered gazebo where you can barbecue, play pool and enjoy the outdoor space whatever the weather. Forming the lower floor of the owner's home, it is situated up the hill in East Looe with parking right outside and half a mile from a pub serving good food and local ciders in a friendly atmosphere. The bustling town centre and sandy beach of Looe is a 15 minute walk down Barbican Hill if you want to leave the car, but longer for the return journey. Vin da Looe is positioned well for exploring the area and visiting local attractions such as the Monkey Sanctuary, the Seaton Valley Countryside Park, the Eden Project or take a drive to the stunning Rame Peninsula and see the hidden gem of Whitsand Bay in all its glory.
This stylishly-finished apartment is ideal for a couple wanting a quieter spot away from the busy town centre with private parking and a special outdoor area which is fully enclosed for your dog to enjoy too. The bright sun room, which doubles up as a dining room, looks over the garden and leads into a modern well-equipped kitchen. The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach. Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view.
There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you. You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own!
If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds. Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife.
Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
