Reviews

Aurora was a very comfortable, well equipped cottage, one of the best we've stayed in. The views were magnificent, it was lovely to sit in the window seat and watch everything going on! The only down side for us was the access, it's not described clearly enough and is quite hard going up the steep road and steps. Having said that we got used to it by the end of the week.

Mrs M,

We had a lovely week staying at the house and all loved Looe and we hope to be back one day!

Previous Customer,

Another super relaxing week in Looe and our second stay at Aurora. We have already booked again for September 2023. We love it!

Previous Customer,

What amazing views! Aurora is a fantastic property - everything you need - clean & comfy. Looe is a great place to wander around. Nice walks to millendreath and Polperro. Would love to return!

S & R,

Loved our stay in this house. Spent a lot of time gazing at the view! Best view we've had.

Previous Customer,

We chose this place mainly due to the location and what a good decision we made. Fantastic, extremely clean and Is well maintained. The view is its best asset by far, a good escape retreat. A lot of thought and effort has been put into this place, the kitchen is well equipped with pretty much everything you’d ever need to use. Definitely coming back at some point. Thank you

Mr H,

Stunning views with quite walks to hannafore or busier walks into town . The house is quiet and comfy with a comfy bed and good Wi-Fi.

Mr M,

Location

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach.  Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view.

There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you.  You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own!

If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds.  Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife.

Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
