Reviews

Location is fantastic just as it’s described

Mr C,

The cottage was overlooking the sea and comfortable bed and good shower it had a nice garden and was cosy .my only moan was having to vacate by 9am and strip beds it was to much rush so we decided to leave Thursday evening .

Mrs L,

Larger than I was expecting, with a wonderful outlook.

Mr P,

Plaidy beach is 50 feet from the cottage. In the wind and rain you still have the sea to watch. We really enjoyed this cottage in November so have booked it again for May.

Mr O,

Cosy clean bungalow with lovely views of the sea. Location would be challenging for nervous driver but well worth it.

Ms G,

Location

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach.  Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view.

There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you.  You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own!

If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds.  Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife.

Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
