Reviews

Lovely peaceful rural cottage with very friendly helpful hosts. Ideal base for walks and the beautiful Cornish coastline

Mr H,

We absolutely loved our week's stay at The White Cottage we were blessed with fantastic weather too. The owners were so helpful with local info for us. The cottage is in a stunning location so very peaceful with fab views a complete get away from it all break...we had fun cooking on the Aga a first for us both. All in all a wonderful holiday we loved it ❤️

Mrs G,

Great place, very nice owners next door, something special. Somewhat remote (car necessary) but then again, not far from the coast and also not far from small and larger villages. If you are looking for something with character, something authentic, but still comfortable in a nice and quiet location this is it. It would work well in winter too I'm sure.

Mr H,

Well equipped cottage, clean and very friendly owners who were happy to answer any queries.

Miss Elizabeth D,

We have enjoyed our stay in White Cottage. Warm, clean, and very comfortable, thank you very much. A relaxing week for us visiting some areas we have not seen before and some that we have - great to revisit. We hope to return again maybe next year, it is so lovely here, relaxing and wonderful views. Thank you for your kind hospitality. - Brian

Past Customer,

Thank you for the warm welcome you gave us! Thank you for the tea/milk and biscuits. This is the best house we've ever rented. But you already know that. We'll be back. That's a promise. Thank you for everything. - Jan and Josie

Past Customer,

Thank you so much for our lovely stay at White Cottage. Such a tranquil setting, a truly wonderful retreat, surrounded by nature. To hear and see the housemartins each morning and evening, the baby bunnies on the lawn, the deer - a sense of calm after the hustle and bustle of life at home. We've explored so many places during our stay. The cottage itself is beautiful and well equipped, the beds are comfortable - a perfect lace from which to explore this part of Cornwall. - The Pickerings

Location

Lerryn is a village situated on the river Lerryn approximately three miles southeast of Lostwithiel. The village straddles two parishes: north of the river it is in the parish of St Winnow and to the south, St Veep. The village has a post office and village shop, "Lerryn River Stores", which also provides fresh tea, coffee and cakes seven days a week, ideal for walkers taking advantage of the many beautiful walks in the area. The Ship Inn, dates from at least 1762 and there is an Elizabethan bridge crossing the river or alternatively why not try crossing using the famous stepping stones. The village hosts an annual 'Seagull' race, for any type of watercraft providing it is propelled by a 'Seagull' outboard motor. This event attracts competitors from all over the world looking for an extraordinary challenge.
