It really isn't possible to get closer to the water than Chandlers, a comfortable apartment where you can actually fish from the balcony at high tide if you wish. The fantastic uninterrupted views of the ever changing river can be enjoyed from the lounge/kitchen/diner and bedroom. On a warm day you can open the balcony door and enjoy all the boats and ships passing by within 200 yards. There is also a great view of 'Ferryside' the one time home of author Daphne du Maurier across the water at Bodinnick. This is du Maurier country and the acclaimed Fowey festival attracts many to its talks, walks, plays and poetry. The centre of Fowey with its many independent shops, cafes, inns and restaurants is within a few hundred yards walk.

Great position. perfect for just sitting or walking into town!Mr Garry Holmes - 21st October 2019
Very pleased with the property. Very clean. We went in October. The heating was already on for us when we arrived which was a nice surprise! Kitchen well equipped & nice touch to supply bin bags, washing up materials & kitchen roll etc. Top marks.Michael White - 11th October 2019
I have been returning to Chandlers for many years now. The waterside location of the property is lovely and even on a cloudy day it is a joy to sit inside and watch the various boats passing the window. Fowey is still so unspoilt, the only downside being the traffic that winds through the narrow main street. My contact with Thomas Brewer in the Fowey office is a delight. He is so helpful and charming - a real asset to the Company. Mrs J Carter - 4th October 2019
Brilliant position and perfect for a couple.Mrs Mary Scott - 19th September 2019
Lovely holiday, very helpful staff in Fowey Office.Mrs Helen Heron - 5th September 2019
Great location and good standard of property.Mrs Beverley Harper - 20th July 2019
Amazing place - we want to move there.Mrs Kellie Forbes - 29th April 2019
Sorry can’t remember his name but the young man in the Fowey office was so helpful and friendly. Fowey was a lovely little town, thoroughly recommend the Town walk on Tuesday morning. The property was in the perfect spot, watching the boats on the estuary was a bit of a time waster but we were on holiday! We’ll be back.Mr Chris Ball - 11th April 2019
Chandlers in the Fowey Estuary was a unique experience which we would like to repeat, wow, what a location!Mrs Shirley Eveleigh - 12th October 2018
Have been going to Chandlers for many years as I love the unspoilt charm of Fowey and the views of the estuary from the property. I use the train and as Par station is on the main GWR route it is fairly easy to get around this part of Cornwall. I had contact in the Fowey office with Tom during this stay and found him to be most charming and helpful - he even made me a lovely cup of tea on arrival!Mrs J Carter - 1st October 2018
We love Chandlers the property is perfect to see activity on the river sitting on the balcony, my husband also likes to sit there and paint. It’s just a short walk to lovely restaurants, pubs and shops and a bit further to Readymoney cove to sit and to look out to sea you never tire of the views. Fowey is a great place to go and relax and that is why we return . Mr & Mrs Yvonne Arblaster - 8th July 2018
Delightfully situated property with interesting views over the busy harbour and an easy walk to the town centre and car park.Mr Richard Morgan - 17th June 2018

Superb location. Basic but well equipped property,Mrs J Carter - 2nd October 2017
Loved the property with the river views and balcony. Staff in office very friendly. Have already recommended to family and friends we love Fowey and Chandlers for the two of us. Will be also looking for larger properties when we visit with family.Mrs Y Arblaster - 15th July 2016
No because I would like to keep it secret and keep returning to Chandlers so don't want others to book my favourite week! Fowey is so unchanged and the individual shops are great. Plenty of good walks around the area and great places to eat. Fantastic views from the property literally waterside with all types of craft passing by. A super place to unwind and rainy days are no big deal watching the water scenes from the comfort of the apartment. The property could do with a little makeover now especially kitchen and bathroom and the balcony is very small - but those views are it's great attraction. Local bus service was most unreliable this year.Mrs J Carter - 20th September 2015
Nice accommodation with good views, excellent service and response to enquiries. Fowey is an attractive village and harbour.Mr N Mackinnon - 28th June 2015

If you haven't yet discovered Fowey, you've got a treat in store. Full of multicoloured cottages, perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea, this little fishing town has lots to tempt visitors.
There is an entrancing collection of unique local shops and boutiques, along with harbourside cafes, pubs which will give you a hearty welcome and a good atmosphere, and restaurants offering tempting local produce. If you want a unique insight into the local species in these waters, you could visit Fowey Aquarium, whose residents include specimens brought in by local fishermen.
If you're a fan of Daphne du Maurier, you may want to visit the Literary Centre, which gives information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. There is also the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, held in May, in which du Maurier, and many other authors, artists and musicians, are celebrated. Another great spectacle is the Fowey Royal Regatta, held in August.
Fowey lies within one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, and the backdrop of the surrounding countryside, with its tidal creeks, rolling fields and rugged cliffs, will make you want to return here again and again.
