Description

Hattie the Horse Box offers a unique experiential self-catering experience in a lovely semi-rural location.  Hattie is a converted vintage horse box with its own en-suite shower room, galley kitchen and a lay-z-spa hot tub. Set in the owner's 13 acres with great views across their fields, fresh eggs from the obliging chickens and within an easy walk to the small parade of shops and pubs in Hawkhurst, this really is the best glamping experience you can have!  Hattie has been designed with great flair and attention to detail ensuring that you have everything you need for a relaxing escape to the country. There is a comfortable sofa with a DVD player and mini TV for watching DVDs, an electric wood-effect stove and a well equipped kitchen. The cosy king-size bed is tucked up into the framework with four portholes and it boasts its own shower room. Double French door open onto a courtyard area with far reaching views, which can also be enjoyed from the hot tub.  As an alternative, why not snuggle up in the open fronted field shed next door and relax and unwind under the stars.   Shop: 0.4 miles  Pub: 0.4 miles  Coast: 18 miles

Sleeping Area: housed in the framework to the front of the lorry, a sleeping platform with a king-size mattress and topper, vintage ladder and portable bed guard, hanging space for clothes

Garden: Converted gravelled lunge ring with hedging, garden table and chairs, sun loungers, sun shade, fire pit/barbecue and lay-Z-spa hot tub (see note below) with far reaching countryside views.  There is also an open fronted field shed decorated with bunting, a wicker sofa, coffee table and rug

Notes: WiFi not available. Please bring your own towels for use in the hot tub, please add hot tub at time of booking, there is a £30 charge for use.  There is storage space in the cab for suitcases and golf clubs! On the farm; there are 3 horses, a dog, 2 cats and chickens. Owing to the rural location, please keep music to an appropriate volume. 

Out and About:
The village of Hawkhurst is situated on the Kent/Sussex border and offers lots of opportunity for exploring both the surrounding rural countryside and stunning coastline. Being close to both Bedgebury and Bewl Water it is perfect for walkers and cyclists.  The moated castle at Bodiam and the gardens at Sissinghurst Castle are both only a short drive as is the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, which offers a great selection of shopping, cafes and restaurants. The Kent and East Sussex Railway can be found in nearby Tenterden and there are many local vineyards offering wine tasting and tours including Biddenden Vineyard, Chapel Down and Hush Heath. This is a wonderful location in the Garden of England surrounded by an outstanding selection of tourist destinations, there is also a 9 hole golf course and local fishing lakes close by.
